Whisky

Ardnamurchin generally good and the Ledaig is great value.
A really good value Ledaig is the Sinclair Series which you can get for about £32.
I tried the Sinclair Series and bought a bottle for a mate for a birthday present, if it ever makes it to him.

Tell you what I only realised on Saturday, Martin Armstrong is from NI

Dealt with him a few times by e mail etc but just presumed he's be Scottish

Seems like a nice fella mind

Currently spending the week on the Kintyre peninsula and visited the Springbank distillery shop today. The cage was remarkably well stocked and I picked up a bottle of 9yo sherry Springbank for £65 which is an increase from the £50 a couple of years ago but not excessive when compared to some recent price increases. They are now noting your name in a record kept in the shop and writing your name on the bottle with a sign stating that there is a one bottle limit per customer per week from the cage.

When I was there last month the bottles went up a fiver from one day to the next due to the change in duty.

some crackers...love to try a decent Jura one day...the Manzanilla 13 yr old sounds interesting.
Cask Strength Tomintoul I'd go for and maybe the Aberlour 33 yr old madeira finish

Look to be some crackers

Good luck with whatever you nab 👍

The Cadenhead Warehouse tasting drams, all excellent whiskies with the exception of the Miltonduff which has been lost to the cask. Surprised by the HP/Orkney as it’s not a distillery I generally enjoy - it spent a year in an ex Union cask. If you like chocolatey drams, the Benrinnes is a very good example of one.

Just a bit :) I've got Watt Whisky tomorrow too. I've already bought 3 bottles of their recently released Trinidad TML rum, I doubt I'll be able to resist if there's another on offer. It's like passion fruit juice.

People are going into the Vault via a random number draw while the rest of us wait and get updates. Unsurprisingly the Rosebank and Glen Mhor were the first to go.

Never heard of it…will investigate
Just noticed Whisky Exchange see to have it..£86.95 is that about right.

Tasting notes do seem to suggest big on tropical notes
Still never been to Campbeltown…really must make the effort sometime.

Just seems a ball ache of a drive

It can be broken up with ferries. Takes as long as it would to drive around but gives you a break and the scenery is better than the Rest and Be Thankful.
