Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Southampton were one of the biggest spenders in the PL the past season, spending £150m, and went down.

In the last 12 months alone they have had big money PL flops in Sulemana, Onuachu, Bazunu and Mara, and lesser money but still significant flops in Caleta-Car, Edozie, Aribo and Mara.

Only Lavia and Kotchap were in any way decent of their 15 signings the season just gone.

They aren't the model of financial acumen that you seem to think they are, certainly not these days.
Season before Danny Ings and Vestergaard helped them balance their books -so it’s only last season when they went mad

And a lot of that has been undone with sales after relegation so far

Still think from their point of view this is a bit of a risk- LND is a great player when fit and at £8m is a steal…when fit

I suppose they are gambling he fires them straight back up, gets harder each extra year your in the championship as those parachute payments start ending and they still have a pretty heavy wage bill
We are well within FFP and spending a decent amount on a striker will not 'blast thru"
Will one striker be enough for promotion? How much is a decent amount and wages for a striker without busting the bank we’d also need a dcm and potentially an extra striker as well if Stewart leaves

Here is one for you latest accounts reveal Sunderland have zero debt and own all their assets.
Southampton are over 60 million in debt
Get in we could blow 40 mill and still be less in debt than the saints….what do you think will happen if they don’t get promoted in The next couple of years if they are still carrying that debt?
