Greenwood's future

Perhaps his girlfriend considered leaving him and living a life without millions of income coming in was harder than continuing in an abusive relationship?
simple why he was not convicted....she didnt want to press home his activities.......call me synical but im sure she just didnt want to give up her lifestyle of being a wag........ive seen no remorse from him either.
It’s a subtle difference but it’s more likely to be she refused to stand as a prosecution witness. Since her testimony would form the vast majority of the case then without it the case collapses, with or without the tape.

Why has she done this when Greenwood is alleged to have hurt her badly and raped her? P€rhap$ w£’ll n€ver know th£ an$w€r.

Whilst it is quite easy to say the money I would also put the caveat plenty of abused partners go back to their abuser even when they are not rich, they have a hold on them, she’s still a victim here, unfortunately the lack of testimony is likely what has stopped him getting his due punishment but unless it is known the victim has willingly ignored everything purely for money she should not be shamed imo

Mad that they are even considering brining him back. Fair enough they can't just sack him but it wouldn't be wrong to say "we are going to pay the rest of his contract but he will never play for us again"

Even if they want him to play, he is going to get stick and abuse everywhere he goes. It's not going to be worth it for the club or him.

I wouldn’t touch him if I was Man United… high possibility that all this will have ruined him (and rightly so) they could take a lot of flack for someone who might end up bombed out
anyway

You can confirm its authenticity then?
Tina Turner continually returned to her abusive husband. Despite the entire music world knowing what he was like, the record company did nothing because Ike was a cash cow.

The longer this goes on the more likely it appears that Man U are going to do the same thing.

Exactly

That United statement looks like a 'soft launch'.

Preparing the masses for the inevitable eventuality that he will be coming back - they probably just wanted to gauge the publics reaction.

Man Utd arguably the biggest club/brand in the English league, surely they can’t bring him back? Regardless of the case being dropped the evidence was made public. It wouldn’t look good.

Imagine that little turd running out on the pitch at every away ground in the league, and every touch he gets on the ball, he will get dogs abuse constantly and you can’t tell me half of his team mates don’t think he’s a piece of shiit too

He’s definitely coming back IMO. Their only other realistic option is to send him on loan somewhere for a season to regain fitness then sell him. That would have happened by now if that was their chosen route.

I think this is about communicating their decision to sponsors, women’s team etc before it’s announced publicly so they don’t have to read it in the media first.

I suspect it’ll bite them on the arse…first interview, so do you agree with greenwood being brought back into the team Eric….same for every other interview including the womens team. Then the shit that he will get at every ground. I get he’s a potentially a major asset, but reputational value could also be factored, if u were a sponsor would you want that arsehole displaying your logos, would people want him playing for england

Agreed although Ten Hag can just bat it back like he always had done ‘It’s the club’s decision not mine’.

Suspect the delay is about making sure there is no major blowback from major sponsors although I doubt there would be enough there to terminate agreements anyway. Glazers won’t give a shiny shite what the women think, this about keeping an asset on the balance sheet to keep the club value inflated IMO.

But then he’s the one picking the team so on some level he’s facilitating him playing, as I say, bringing him back all I see is negatives outside of manu making a few quid and personally I think some issues are more important than money, because it’s saying to all girls if someone is valuable enough any misdeeds go unchecked

He hasn’t played for getting on 2 years, he will be a long way from being picked by Ten Hag I think.
As I say, not sure the Glazers are bothered whether he plays or not as long as they are still adding in excess of £100m on the balance sheet to keep the value artificially high.

and that’s the crux of the matter…money trumps everything, as I say at some point some things are more valuable, like saying to girls this behaviour isn’t acceptable for Clubs to be involved in
