Greenwood's future

It happens a lot more than people realize. The abused blame themselves, they think if they don’t speak out of line then they will be ok.
A good friend of mine worked with domestic abuse daily and it’s messing him up mentally. He kept going to the same houses and seeing the same women battered, then a few days later, the statement was pulled.
The law changed to stop that happening but they always go back to the person. If anything it’s made the abused think twice before reporting it
Not forgetting this 'alleged' abuser also has a lot of money.

Is everyone aware that it's not just the audio as she's also hoyed up photos of bruises, scratches, bumps, bleeding etc and they won't have all happened at one time. This is also the stuff she's made public (or got leaked as in the audio I think) so won't be the whole story of what has gone on behind closed doors. What has happened prior that even made the lass want to start to record him that time?

He shouldn't be playing for Man Utd that's for sure and surely the lasses of the Man Utd team can realise this won't have be an isolated incident?

Our son in law is a police sergeant and he says domestic abuse calls are the most dangerous due to what you point out. Answer a call and end up being physically attacked by the abused..

I know a lass who was in a relationship like that for years. Had a kid with him and lived together. Probably like 6 years before they finally broke up. She would often have black eyes and call in sick to work because she couldn’t face the world.
She kept saying she has no other option and this is why the abusers win.

Anyone who doesn’t see the severity of these cases live in a cartoon

For me , its cut and dry what happened in that episode with Harriette and the only thing we dont know if it was a regular thing that he abused her.

CPS couldnt prosecute , cos I guess Harriette forgive him and realised she didnt want to give up her lifestyle once the dust settled.

Mason needs to get out of the country and play abroad. Show that he is remorseful and maybe do some charitable work around this subject.....then in a few years when hes grown up , try and reignite his career in UK with a different attitude

Mason: Move your f***ing legs up!

Harriet: No! I don't want to have sex!

M: I don't give a fuck what you want, you little shit.

H: Mason!

M: Shut up. Stop talking to me. Stop!

H: Stop putting your dick near me.

M: I'm going to fuck you, you twat!

H: I don't want to have sex with you!

M: I don't care if you don't want f***ing sex with me, do you hear me?

H: Why do you have to do this, though?

M: Cause I asked you politely and you wouldn't do it!

H: (Inaudible. Something about sex with other people?)

M: I asked you politely and you wouldn't do it so what else do you want me to do?

H: Then go and fuck someone else.

M: I don't want to fuck someone else!

H: You do.

M: No I don't.

M: Push me again one more time and watch what happens to you.

H: No.

M: Well, you will actually.
If he’s allowed back then every single team’s fans should have that transcript put on a banner and shame him every chance they get. Lack of shaming allows arrogant fuckwits like him think they can do whatever they won’t with zero consequences.

We don't know if it was a regular thing, that's true. However, the likelihood of her just deciding to record the only time that anything like that has happened? Seems pretty low.

It looked and dry but not enough for cps and its policy to always prosecute. No idea why but him not being convicted presents a sticky legal complication for his club.

simple why he was not convicted....she didnt want to press home his activities.......call me synical but im sure she just didnt want to give up her lifestyle of being a wag........ive seen no remorse from him either.

The policy is to prosecute even if the complainant withdraws the complaint to avoid coercive behaviour including financial coercion as you’ve described. It must have been an evidence issue though as you stated it doesn’t look too difficult to find evidence.

Those who are defending him despite overwhelming evidence against him are thick as mince.
Obviously the evidence wasn't that overwhelming if they decided not to prosecute. You don't need a witness in order to prosecute a cut and dry case. Is it possible the evidence that was leaked to the press may have been fabricated or tampered with? Maybe the prosecutors know more about what happened than we do, too.

Shouldn’t have a football future. Scum bag
If he does have any future he SHOULD be going around all the clubs highlighting to their young players about letting fame, money and talent go to their head, of course he's basically getting off the hook and probably doesn't even think he's done anything wrong, a real man wouldn't have hid behind the woman he abuses even if legally he's got away with it, he'd get a lot more credibility. Probably so arrogant he thinks he doesn't need any credibility....

The 3 woman Man U players in the World Cup should have no part in this process. They will be blamed whatever the decision, as being seen to have the casting votes

Cowardise by the club

He’d get dogs abuse at every away ground hed play in the uk. Doubt even sky want chants of sex case on every live football match he was involved in.
if he was worth 250k he’d have been paid up and peddled for the bad pr it brings onto the club, since he may well have been worth 100m + it’s a whole new ball game

and putting the pressure on the Man U girls team is bs, puts them in an impossible situation, say yes and they get criticised, say no and again criticised, and it’s not beyond the realms of fantasy for them to be worried about prospects if they did say no

It’s hard to imagine him playing again in this country. I just don’t think any club would touch him, hopefully morally, but more likely through fear of backlash, the PR and loss of sponsorship. I think United will loan him out this season before eventually selling him. He’s a very lucky boy not to be serving a decade in prison so in terms of a football career, whatever happens next should be a massive bonus to him.

He'll go go Saudi, it's the logical outcome. What he did will be tame compared to the way women are treated.
