Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

Why do they not sell these tickets by default? It's ridiculous.
Because they're withheld for safety reasons.....

There MUST be a buffer zone between Sunderland supporters and Sunderland supporters.....

Until the crowd is almost sold out, and from this point not needed to be withheld for safety reasons. (Because the safety of Sunderland supporters isn't a particularly important issue for this regime).

For clarity, I don't particularly think the withholding of these seats is a particularly bright idea in the first place, in fact I think it is the idea of a right DUNCE. So I'm not sure what the thinking is when they are originally withheld, or what their thinking is when they then decide that they no longer need to be kept back.

Would make sense to open when we are close to a sell out as I think there are only a few hundred left in the PC.

Ticket Office open at 11, decent weather so would just make sense to open them up for those who may justo decide to go today.

I agree that they should be opened up. But if they can be opened up when they fancy it, they aren't held back for "safety reasons" are they? If you get my drift (although anything is possible with these imbeciles).

EDIT: I'll rephrase it. Apparently they call it a "buffer zone". It alludes to safety, but might be something else. But still the same principle, you either need a buffer zone or you don't. Which is it?
I think you might be surprised. Eight or nine clubs.
Go on, name them.

True couldn't even sell out as against Newcastle when we regularly stroked them at home..

Reckon the grounds been full properly only a dozen or so times in 20 years
We only never sold out against them in recent years for the Borini 2-1 win. Before that’d be the 4-1 loss at home.

And we could be utter shite again in 20 years. So we’d have a 55k seater stadium with 30k in it. Much better to have demand for seats and selling them out. Creates a better atmosphere and more people buying season tickets to guarantee seats.
But should we be thinking like that though, it’s a bit defeatist? If we do well over the coming years we need to take advantage of the current attendance boom and get as many bums on seats as we can. I think some of us underestimate our support sometimes…

Exactly, it’s the classic case of let’s not cross the road in case we get knocked over. Thankfully the club will have some more ambition.
