5th test the oval

He has been injured but it could just be a series too many .

when I was on cricket web , I was told in no uncertain times that Green and Boland would clean up England

I did say they would be fodder and was ridiculed

where are they ?
Tbf there are gobshites on both sides, like two sets of bickering brothers sometimes but calling each other moaners and whingers

Surprised Hazelwood has looked so average this series mind, is he injured?
Just look what we did to Boland....being aggressive has made them concede alot more runs, their bowling average is decent all things considered (Boland aside).

1 more session like that and we have a score to be able to bowl at...would obviously like another 2 sessions like that one and have a 400 target if im being greedy

Brilliant session. Cummins must have envisaged Aus batting on a 3rd day pitch when he put us in.
Huge amount of credit to our 4 workhorse bowlers yesterday bending their back to get our batsmen in today

I think @McGregor said he was on for player of the series earlier in this thread.

If he gets a ton and we win the match I’d say you’d be hard pushed to say anyone deserves it more than him

Completely agree. The level of improvement with bat and in the field has been astounding. Fair play to England for backing him as it looked like it was going an epic failure on their part.

I know it's all part of "bazball" but Duckett needs to stop playing at every single shot for me. I wouldn't want to look back on my career with a host of 30-40s in the history books but played at every single possible shot so see it as successful.

Fingers crossed, at about 17:00 I hope we get a bit drizzle, not enough to stop the game, just spice it up a bit.
Agreed

the next two days are going to be a problem as there is a lot of rain about. Would love to get them batting again tonight as I think it will be two days of on and off after today

be a real bitter pill for another rain draw

Whatever happens dead proud of England for continuing their attacking style.

Had my doubts whether they could continue to go at a great run rate against a quality attack.

But they have done so.

This series was never going to be easy as Australia a very good side and are street fighters.

But we have gone toe to toe with them and been a great series where a drawn series would be a fair result imo based of the play

Been a big critic of crawley meself and duckett now too. Think over the series we’ve seen and accepted this is the mantra and they’ll get out. With the pair of them and more so crawley as he looks the absolute dogs bollocks, always got time never looks in danger then gets himself out too often it’s just frustrating. For our openers to get 700+ between them in 9 matches is a cracking effort for the style they play with.

If duckett ever learns to leave he’s going to be a real player. I think he’d suit being 3 better but would need another opener.
