4th test Manchester

Bumble says it's not raining at ground on twitter.

Of course we have to wait around till 11.

Should be 10:30 if overs lost. The WTC final started 10:30 every day.
Cricket really needs to sit down and help itself, it’s like a man bleeding out and crawling past a git big ambulance with its lights on. It couldn’t be more obvious how to help fix it.

Yep, so many areas where it is frustrating. They've added floodlights but still waft around light meters and seem determined to come off. They just must have a lunch and tea break of a set time, plus scheduled drinks breaks. And why don't they have covers covering the whole ground too.

Really need to consider reserve days for Test matches. Again, if the BCCI World Test Championship Final could have one...

The problem is that they need three clear days between the consecutive tests under ICC rules. So your plan would add five days to the series in a packed calendar.

Also most tests finish within four days now so it’s rare that bad weather pushes you beyond the end of day five. Just going to have to suck up the odd frustrating one like this.

Would take longer to drain away the water with covers covering the full outfield than not iirc. Got a drainage system that works quicker

Well the answer would be less of other forms of cricket, bur that's another debate entirely

So less forms of other cricket to have a reserve day just in case it rains?

Where most of the time it doesn’t rain, and even when it does like Leeds we still get finished within 5 days.

I agree with other posters about earlier and later starts, but cancelling other cricket just in case it goes longer than 5 days?

Not just for that no. To improve the quality overall, reduce mental and physical fatigue
