4th test Manchester

And that is what makes cricket such an interesting sport to have differing views because if we all thought the same there would be no cricket debate

I place a strong emphasis on what players do against Australia as players learn more about themselves more so than against any other nation. Records against Windies, Sri Lanka etc don't hold much sway for me. It does not make me right or you right its an opinion

Records against the Windies don't count for much? I take it you're about 15 year old

I'd be bowling broad

Flintoff still averaged 33 against Australia so your argument is slightly flawed

Read my comments on not taking the new ball, how he was used and the fact he was not a pure bowler so also had to contribute with the bat. Easier if you only have one facet to concentrate on ie, when you train as a bowler you mainly concentrate on bowling and all rounder splits his time 50/50

The Windies have been crap for 20 years

Indeed, however they completely changed cricket in the 70s and 80s. I doubt Flintoff would make a top 10 of England bowlers in all honesty. He had a few short spell where he was excellent.

I was only born in 1981 so my comments are based on recent past. There maybe many other bowlers better than Flintoff and Jimmy who I never saw

By comparison, Rushworth is Durham's leading first class wicket taker followed by Onions. To me, Harmison was Durham's first world class home produced cricketer, who put us on the map and is the best but all subject to opinion
