4th test Manchester

England 11/10 and draw evens with Ladbrokes which tells a story

Doesn’t look good, massive massive shame after yesterdays brilliant performance.

And also great on Wednesday to restrict them.

Really deserve to win this test but unfortunately don’t get what you deserve all the time.

I’m staying upbeat. I think we can get a result here.

I think Sunday will be better than expected - just somehow need couple of hours at them today with +180-200 on the board.

As people are saying the radar seems better than the forecast is giving off…

Are they allowed to play to 7pm tonight ?
Btw the over rate was disgraceful yesterday,I’m sure only about 70 overs were bowled ,disgusting cheating Aussies 🤨

Reckon those odds overestimate the possibility of an Aus win too which given the weather and the series position must be as near to zero as makes no difference. Which ironically makes how he plays this going forwards a completely un-bazball decision for Stokes. There’s no win/loss probability to balance in a potentially controversially aggressive way as thanks to the weather he’s already as good as batted Australia out of the game just as old-fashioned test philosophy says you do.

That’s not a criticism btw, he was spot on for me yesterday taking some account of the weather forecast but not going completely daft. Just a comment on the situation.

From what they were saying on TMS yesterday my understanding is they can play up to an extra half hour for each of:
getting that day’s overs in;
making up lost playing time for weather that day;
making up lost playing time for weather from earlier in the match.

So we can do 7 tonight only if we lose half an hour or more today.

On the overs it’s worth noting we were only one over more under quota yesterday than the day before. The Aussies may have had a reason or two to slow it down. England though, shooting themselves in the foot there.
