4th test Manchester

When he turns up and hits a few more hundreds and plays more consistently, then sure you can make that claim. Until then, he’s just a very poor cricketer having the knock of his life for once, after having a poor series up until now.
He was having a decent series before today and now a very, very good one factoring in the opposition.

About 80% of this board including me agree with you that Crawley should not have been picked for this series because of the above.

Yet 99.9% of this board will and have give him credit for todays innings.

The 0.01% been your good self.

What a poster you are mind!!

The very same poster who said Bazball would not work in Pakistan and would be back on here to tell me soo after that series!

That went well too for you😀

Especially scoring my second fifty from 26 balls total fluke!!
May well have pushed his average to nearly 30 now…

He’s only just pushed his career average ahead of Chris Woakes, and would fall below Woakes again if he gets out now

But yes well done for clearly the average of our bowlers finally

Remember when Prica scored twice on debut? Or Vargas debut? Or how good Danny Graham was against the mags?

Basically the cricket version of that. Total fluke from a fraud.
That's the second shittest post I've ever seen on this forum

The worst was when you labelled Robinson a country trundler after 2 balls in international cricket.

How?

61, 8, 48, 3, 33 and 44 before today. Slightly above his 28 average I guess…

Same Robinson we’ve just dropped?
I mean he isn’t a poor cricketer is he.

He has his flaws but he’s not poor.

He’s just got an Ashes century.
He’s got an average below chris Woakes too
Genuinely think they’re trying to take as much time out of the game as possible and hope the weather does it’s thing.
That’s been their game plan since the toss tbh. Really poor attitude for a team with the talent they have and will backfire more often than not. Lower over rate is the main reason, imo, they’ve went all seam too

Yes - I would say averaging 33 in England against Australia in England, facing the new ball is decent. Averaging 66 which he currently is is exceptionally good.

Very selective stats 🤣 I hope he turns into a world class opener and proves us all wrong, I really do, but he’s just been absolutely awful consistently for a long time now and one innings doesn’t change a thing for me

Averages 50-odd against the number one test side, with a run a ball century: still shite.

Only on here folks.

Was never a fan of him TBF, but he's worked hard at his game and deserves credit for that. He was already one of our better batsmen this series before this knock.

The worry here is if our first innings score is very good, then will the Aussies just play to frustrate us and look for a draw.

Or do we declare near with a small lead and tempt them?

I agree they are selective but you do find it very difficult whether footballers or cricketers to give an ounce of credit to a player once you have nailed your colors to the mast.

Well I’m sitting here at Old Trafford in the sunshine with my pint of MPA and am enjoying every minute of this. If you think Crawley is shit, so be it. I don’t. I agree that Rade Prica was though 😂
