I can’t see us winning because Saturday is expected to be a wash out and there probably isn’t the time left for us to get a big enough lead and take ten second innings wickets.

BUT, I have full confidence that we can bat well enough to notch some bonus points and see where we are come tomorrow night.

A draw with a good number of batting points would likely still see us extend our lead at the top mind.

So not the end of the world again.
 
Survived the two overs before lunch 4/0.

Sussex 218 all out so no batting points for them. None for Leicestershire. 4th place Glamorgan going well at 100/0.

Ha'way man, he was waffling on about it being illegal to put your bins out the night before in Germany yesterday. Just one example of the thousands of boring pieces of patter he comes out with. Excruciating.

I like his random trivia. There's only so much you can talk about cricket for 8 hours. It's great when you get him and Dave Fletcher in the same commentary box as they would be weaving the bin collection anecdote into the commentary.

But for that 70 run 9th wicket slogfest we'd be right in this game not batting for a draw, that's the sort of stuff that cost us last season.

SB needs to back his own bowling more often. His accidental mystery spin can flummox batsmen.
