4th test Manchester

11 teams have won the toss and fielded at Old Trafford prior to this and lost them all.

We need to win to save the Ashes. I'd rather not be trailing by 300+ runs to try and win to save the Ashes.
Right and? I doubt any of those 11 had days 4 and 5 washed out either.

Back to my point, how does batting under yesterdays cloud cover help us bat against swing?

Could be a tough watch today, feels like England are going to go after everything and try and get within 50 runs, either bowled out or declared and have a crack tonight.
Going to be some absolute honking dismissals I fear.

Percentage wise, it probably gives them the best chance to win a rain shortened game BUT never rely on the British weather (was meant to be showers in the morning yesterday and instead I'm sunburnt), the weekend forecast could change.

There was a sight screen issue for a good 5 minutes yesterday.
Couple concussion checks for another 5 minutes.
DRS for 5 minutes over the day.

Completely agree that where possible 90 overs should be bowled, I.e light conditions etc.
They need to look at the rules and maybe start adjusting the hours of play.
Yes, they were some stoppages but they seem to be more and more these days .. same as my match day experience at SOL. Medics continually on and off the pitch, the players continually retreating to the touchline for a drink ( even after only 20 minutes) .

All the more reason to get runs on the board. Aussies just have to stop us scoring quickly and we can't win here.

It also barely swung yesterday. They put up the stats showing movement was more than half the amount at Headingley.
