4th test Manchester

Why there is a need for drinks breaks these days is beyond me mind. Drinks are brought out every wicket and DRS call anyway and batsman frequently change gloves, bats, etc and have drinks brought out then. if there hasn't been a wicket for an hour then all means have an official drinks break but if we did away with them could easily get another 4 or 5 overs in per day.
£25 for Sunday not a bad price
Still think that is too much when nearly every country around the world let people in for nowt on the last day or have a donation box for a charity outside to chip into upon free entry.

Tbf we started letting people in for free on day 5 last year so hopefully that continues next year and the ashes are just an exception

The fines are being issued but clearly aren’t working.

Start applying run penalties
I have mentioned on here diabolical over rates. 25 in the first session when 2 wickets fell. Longer and longer deliberations over field placings. If a finely balanced game is nearing its conclusion, the interruptions are interminable.

Could be a tough watch today, feels like England are going to go after everything and try and get within 50 runs, either bowled out or declared and have a crack tonight.
Going to be some absolute honking dismissals I fear.

Percentage wise, it probably gives them the best chance to win a rain shortened game BUT never rely on the British weather (was meant to be showers in the morning yesterday and instead I'm sunburnt), the weekend forecast could change.

There was a sight screen issue for a good 5 minutes yesterday.
Couple concussion checks for another 5 minutes.
DRS for 5 minutes over the day.

Completely agree that where possible 90 overs should be bowled, I.e light conditions etc.
They need to look at the rules and maybe start adjusting the hours of play.

Trent Bridge did first I believe as it looked a dead rubber and we hadn’t seen ‘bazball’ in action fully and the atmosphere ended up being bouncing by all accounts. I’ve no doubt that everywhere else only followed suit so that they didn’t buck the trend and look like greedy bastards.

I hope you're wrong but I fear you're right. So many missed opportunites for us this Ashes.. we really should be talking about a famous win but here we are.
