Forthcoming gigs.

Electric Six were absolutely topper like.

didn't know how long theyd been around and how many albums they'd released but they were canny class like

My daughter and me can't walk past an electrical warning sign without going "danger, danger, high voltage!" to the other one 😁

why didn't you come down? would have been nice to see you and finally meet the infamous torch junior
It infuriates me queuing in a line at a bar like. Noticing it more and more round here.

it was weird like. there was one really long queue in the middle of the bar and nee queue elsewhere

Only two serving I think ?
Small bar ,two lines seems the obvious thing to do
It's not geared up for speed either unfortunately
Someone pre pulling pints etc

there were three on mostly, with occasional piss/barrel change etc breaks. i've usually found it to be spot on and even yesterday the two times i bought pints i got served almost instantly

I wasn’t there so can’t comment what I mean is I’m seeing it more in established pubs, multiple servers, multiple taps but one bit long queue. Absolutely daft but it puts you in that position were you feel an idiot being in the queue but you’d feel a dick going right to the front and waiting at the bar normally

Ok , it's a club ,thing is you need a fence at the bar for it to work . It started happening in the original spoons years ago and even the staff used to shake their heads at punters queueing . Pop recs has only a 6 foot bar anyway though .

Enjoyed Molly Hatchet last night. First time I had been to Nighttrain in Bradford. Certainly not full. Highlights were Fall of the Peacemakers and Flirtin with Disaster. Lots of the Danny Joe Brown era but a good version of Beatin the odds to remember the Jimmy Farrar line up

Top stuff. Wish I`d gone even though no originals but a couple of the members have been with them nigh on 40 years and they have a great back catalogue. Glad to hear it was a good show.

Aye there was 3 on, one of them being my daughter - never seen her graft so hard, must take after her mother (£9.99) obvs.

She does most of the gigs there and think she said the takings for that night were one of the most they've done - helps with it being a sell out and a Saturday night I guess.

But, no getting away from it, when it's that busy, and everyone is buying pints, it's a slow process, and a frustrating one for everyone, she was getting pelters from someone who wanted serving from the side of the bar, when she was just trying to serve what was in front of her.....not sure what the answer is, 3's the max that can work behind there - maybe a can bar to supplement it? I dinnar...

Ref the queueing - didn't the Peacock get some shit not too long back cos the line stretched all the way to Primark or summat, and their response was don't line up wetherspoons style and it'll go quicker...

Was a tremendous gig though.

A can bar would be sufficient to get the really thirsty punter out of the queue. It was a mess and not the fault of the people behind the bar.

Well it was her that served us first and she was spot on so nee complaints here :D

by the way is £9.99 code for 'nee pics' or is she for sale?

Was at Scarborough for Paul Heaton on Saturday, as usual really good gig, there was a replacement for Jaqcui too, she was very good.
Love the venue but the beer is shite inside

Four of us are off to see Siouxsie at Tynemouth Priory on Friday. The Banshees were one of my favourites back in the day and were fantastic live.

Looking forward to it but have seen some You Tube clips of decidedly dodgy Siouxsie vocals at recent gigs. Fingers crossed that she's a bit better than Debbie Harry at Glastonbury. It's beyond me how that performance got rave reviews in the press. Methinks a definite case of heart ruling the ears...
