I got there just as they were playing Charles..traffic was gridlocked going through..they absolutely nailed Complete Control like..that was the only place i could find to stand.
We got in as they were doing Charade, think was first song. Was expecting them to come on at 9 so had pint elsewhere beforehand, bar staff said they started 8:45

Just seen Ash are playing NX on 7 October. Never been there since it reopened, quite fancy that. Same day as Boro game but that will probably end up on the Sunday dinner slot or a Friday/Monday night

Got Siouxsie on Friday, Sunlun calling on Sunday, also tempted to see Eddie and the Hotrods with Department S at trillians on Thursday,
Gutted I’m missing siouxsie never saw her back in the day for some reason. Got a canny summer lined up though.
Blur at Wembley
Sunniside calling
Pulp at Sheffield
Summer streets
Kubix
Rock the Seine Paris

Hope to be doing Siouxsie and Eddie and the Hot Rods too - with any luck also Hollywood Vampires in Scarborough and with an even bigger slice of luck KISS in Glasgow - but that is looking doubtful.

The Darkness - great fun and excellent with the crowd. Picked on a bloke called Ethan and even gave him a mic and they had a sing off which was hilarious.

The Pretenders: put on a brilliant show. Chrissie Hynde still has an amazing voice and plenty of energy. Loved her.

Guns N Roses - absolutely banging and much better than Glastonbury. Axl made some funny quips, including telling the stage to f off when he fell over early on. Played a three hour set with multiple clothing changes and a brilliant mix of music. Didn't want it to end!

Brilliant night out overall and throughly enjoyed it.

If you told my teenage self that in 30 years time I'd be dressed as a rock chick and dancing to GnR in London, I'd have never believed you, but there I was 😁

Lucky to get some tickets for Rod Stewart with Culture Club last night. Have to say despite the weather both were great, particularly Rod. Still clearly loving it. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was brilliant.
even caught a signed football!
Kubix next.

The bar situation was a bit disappointing. However, i was more bright and breezy today because of it.

it was canny weird like. when i walked in (around 8) i went straight to the bar, stood behind one other person and got served almost straight away. noticed to the right there was a queue stretching all the way to the other wall. so i bought a couple of beers. didn't drink partcularly quick and wasn't in a hurry to get drunk so by the time i got another electric six were playing and i got served straight away again.

heard the same happened to other people with the weird queue in the middle of the bar and people getting served straight away at the sides.

Never been in there when there’s been an issue like. Normally served pretty much straight away.

Next week, Sunlun Callin. Got my daughter, so will probably head in for Smoove & Turrell. Can’t hang about too long with her.

It infuriates me queuing in a line at a bar like. Noticing it more and more round here.
