Racism at Yorkshire CCC

Looks as though they won't get punished with removal of test cricket
£500k ? In installments .
Cost of a decent detached in Otley . Whip round money .
Pay the buggers and damn their impudence .

Reports suggest the CDC will make their decision ''next month'' re the ECB's recommendation to deduct points from Yorkshire across all formats.

In the event that Yorkshire qualify for a QF and potentially Finals Day (15th July) of the T20 Blast, things could get very messy indeed.

points deductions for this year only being reported by the beeb. the 4 to 6 point possible deduction for the white ball comps won't hurt anyone for long... it only takes a QF loss for the same effect and all teams can do that. The suggested 48 to 72 point deduction for the CC would hurt them greatly if it was for next year or it was spread across the next two years, but it's recommended for this year only and they've already blown this year anyway by losing game after game, so the points sanctions are irrelevent

and I said this weeks ago.... wait and wait until it becomes clear how Yorkshire's season is going and if it's bad then hit them with everything the ECB has got to make it look as though a draconian punishment has been meted out...... what a crock!

and we keep being told that that it serves no-one to ruin a club like Yorkshire, that two wrongs don't make a right, that what happened to Durham was a complete Graves instigated abhorration, that the ECB now see this and blah, blah, bloody blah.... and I can see all that, but it still sticks in my craw

With revenue from test cricket Yorkshire have still managed to acquire a £20m debt. 13_counties who don't have the advantage of test cricket can remain solvent with much smaller membership than Yorkshire. Retaining test cricket won't teach Yorkshire to be financially prudent.
Its quite ironic that Yorkshire of all counties is in such a state financially, given the reputation of people here when it comes to money

On a day a major report highlighted the class divide and exclusion throughout the game, I’m not sure ensuring there’s no test cricket north of Manchester is a wise decision like

I was hoping some journos would deride the Yorkshire punishment in comparison to Durham's but I can't see anything.

A £500k fine, £350k of it suspended and the rest to pay in instalments. Possible point's deductions which make no difference to them at all.

At the very least they should have had heavy points deductions for 5 seasons preventing any chance of promotion or cup wins, removal of white ball internationals for 10 years, no ashes tests for the foreseeable future. They can still host other tests so they would still stay afloat. They should never have been allowed to get in this position of owing so much debt. That in itself is a punishable offence.

But its Yorkshire, not little Durham
