Gary O'Neil leaves Bournemouth

Just checked and they finished 12th out of 20. He comes with a 39% win percentage at Vallecano. It all seems very average to me
They were 18th in wage bill terms ffs.

In 3 seasons he's got them promoted and finished mid table twice with the 2rd lowest wage bill. Got them to the last 4 of the cup for the first time in 40 years.
Meh. It could be argued that’s not a lot to different to O’Neil’s achievements minus the promotion.
O'Neil came in mid season and kept them up while spending quite a bit of money in January. He undoubtedly did a good job.

Iraola did a great job at vallecano.

Chelsea have the highest wage bill in the prem. Sometimes it means fuck all.

Call me old fashioned but I think O'Neill did a good job and deserved another year based on his own performance

Nonsense. Generally you finish close to where wage bills are.

If you are refusing to acknowledge achieving good seasons with a tiny wage bill as an achievement then you're thick as mince.

Call me old fashioned but I think people who pretend to support their rivals for years are embarrassing and pathetic individuals.

You spent years pretending to support Sunderland on here. You're the loser, clearly.

Brighton
League Position: 6th
Wage bill: 18th
Total wage bill: £28.3million
Difference: +12

Brentford
League Position: 9th
Wage bill: 20th
Total wage bill: £15.2million
Difference: +11

Newcastle United
League Position: 4th
Wage bill: 10th
Total wage bill: £62.6million
Difference: +6

Pissed all over your argument there mate. What a shame

In general. Not always the case obviously.

Why have you ignored that you pretended to support Sunderland on here for years?

the point is those clubs over achieved...they are the rarity..for them to overachieve some others underachieved..
but the median club will finish near its wage bill poition over say, a three year time horizon..

This. All 3 managers have been credited with doing a superb job and rightly so. Similar to what Iraola done at Rayo.

Strange that its seemingly meaningless because its a foreign league.
