I would.I'm surprised at that. They must have Potter lined up?

i reckon if you looked at the three clubs in the pren who underachieved relative to their wage bills last season..all 3 will have changed manager..This. All 3 managers have been credited with doing a superb job and rightly so. Similar to what Iraola done at Rayo.
Strange that its seemingly meaningless because its a foreign league.
You have to factor in the squad he was working with with though , very average, mind you it will be the same at cherries.Just checked and they finished 12th out of 20. He comes with a 39% win percentage at Vallecano. It all seems very average to me
Beat me to it by over seven hours!why not? because he isnt "famous enough"
Mental decision, effectively dooming them to relegation before the season starts. Don't bother getting off the beach.
Canny harsh to get rid of him after what he did for them last season. Hope they have a stinker of a season now, really looked like he was building something there, clubs owners never learn like
Eddie Howe was 40.2% at Bournemouth. And you thick he’s greatJust checked and they finished 12th out of 20. He comes with a 39% win percentage at Vallecano. It all seems very average to me
I know, it'll be because they will play shit next season and the last thing they actually needed was a new manager. If O'Neill was in charge for the whole season they'd have finished mid-table going by his last results. This will be classic case of trying to improve something and it backfiring to the tune of £140M.If Bournemouth do go down, it certainly won't be as a result of replacing Gary O'Neill with a superior manager.

Watford owner is Italian. They know a lot about football. How about Palermo who owned them. Was an Italian group that owned them during their sack-a-thon years.American owners man..just haven't a clue about football.
Excellent description mate. I've never heard of this Iraola guy and neither have most of the Bournemouth team I'd wager. On paper it it does sound like an improvement, and it may go for them like it did for us changing manager. It's a risk, but will be fun watching it pan out!Very similar comments were made when Southampton replaced Adkins with Pochettino.
Iraola is coming with an even better pedigree than Pochettino did back then.
He's a very highly rated manager who many knowledgeable pundits felt was destined for a far bigger job than Bournemouth.
It would be madness to keep hold of O'Neill when they had the chance to get Iraola in.
If a club like Bournemouth stands still they are fucked. This is a really good appointment and a significant upgrade.
They'll play a high pressing game under Iraola and be really enjoyable to watch as well.
..erm, no. Look at the history of American owners... Chelsea owner done a cracking job whilst we are on it hasn't he?? Not lazy at all. O'neil should have got manager of the season....let's get rid of him. Yeah, they totally 'get it'.Watford owner is Italian. They know a lot about football. How about Palermo who owned them. I’ll admit we don’t fully understand the English game but to say we haven’t a clue because a manager got sacked/walked is a bit lazy.
any evidence the new guy is su[erior? done well in spain but so have others who have flopped in englandIf Bournemouth do go down, it certainly won't be as a result of replacing Gary O'Neill with a superior manager.
Completely agree.Canny harsh to get rid of him after what he did for them last season. Hope they have a stinker of a season now, really looked like he was building something there, clubs owners never learn like
There's also been other who have came in and did exceptionally well.any evidence the new guy is su[erior? done well in spain but so have others who have flopped in england
Ex Athletic Bilbao player ….thoughts @aupaalaves ?That's certainly an interesting appointment.
Totally different situation though plus can't see Leeds or anyone going for himCompletely agree.
On paper, comfortably the worst squad in the league, Parker had them going down without a fight. O’Neil had them playing some good counter attack and fighting for everything.
Be bad news if a competitor in our league picks him up imo.
