CC : Durham v Glamorgan

Sadly, it left Frustrating some time ago…..rushed straight through Disappointing….and is now approaching the outskirts of Embarrassing.
I was with you for 2/3rds of that. Nope, top of the league and a dominant performance cannot be said to be embarrassing, especially with the bowling being stretched with a few absenses.
It’s a poor result in the end with them being 7 down 3 overs before the new ball with a weak lower order.

But we have carried 2 bowlers in a 5 man attack. The sooner Coggs and Carse are back the better.

As Potts is carrying drinks for the next 6 weeks
from my perspective it's a fairly good result, top of the league before and top after with a strong draw and with a weakened bowling attack.

The top of the league issue is not relevant to this game.
The season so far has been superb….but even with a weakened bowling attack, Glamorgan have gone from 159 - 5 and desperately clinging on to saving themselves from an innings defeat, to 247 runs better off for the loss of only 2 wickets and now have a lead of over 165 runs which has almost certainly put a stop to any chance of a Durham win.
So yeah….I find that a little embarrassing.
Sorry for that.

Absolutely nothing embarrassing about our performance in this game.

Dont think its embarrassing. Its clearly been a very good batting pitch. Its frustrating we've not killed them off, but they have dug in well. We've not been good enough since taking the new ball, but certainly not embarrassing IMO.

OK…I’m perhaps overly disappointed.

Aye embarrassing. We should win every single game ever no team is capable of having good games, it is all down to our failure. The lads should be ashamed.

Season over

Still here & it's another game undefeated with plenty of positive performances again with a lot of positive intent to try & force a win. It hasn't happened for us today but genuinely cannot get annoyed or as some have called it "embarrassing". Far from it in my opinion. We've thrown everything at them on a flat deck and the captain has been very vocal and tried many things. Last year we looked a lost cause and numerous times players throwing arms in the air not knowing their jobs etc. We've taken maximum bonus points which is a credit to the team. Hopefully the Worcestershire game ends in a draw and I'll not be too down about not winning this game. Lovely 4 days in the sun, good competitive cricket and good craic. It does look like Worcestershire may win mind but not the end of the world

And as it now stands it looks like we've gained a couple of points on Sussex.

No criticism from me regarding the draw.

The weather has made the pitches hard and flat which is backed up by the fact every county game this round went into a fourth day.

Also Glamorgan are the draw specialists of Div 2 this season so they've had plenty of practice at digging in.

Can't win em all.

We're potentially a bit toothless without Potts.

And saves us the Blaydon Races debate at least
