It was the same with Ferguson. "He only won 2 Champions Leagues in 26 years."Someone could win the Premier League with South Shields and some on here would find a way to play it down.
'It was only Football Manager'
Maybe so. However, do you think he could coach Spurs or United to the champions league? The bloke is a genius. Anyone who can’t see that probably shouldn’t be watching football.
Partially yeah. I’ve always seen it has two aims
1) as you say, to protect the top clubs
2) to hopefully prevent clubs spending beyond their means and going bust
First one realistically was the driver
Im not sure what the answer is
Yeah. Pay the referees. And hide it. Despite being totally legitBut when it comes to Barça you are?
Libero y tiki-taka serán.It was the same with Ferguson. "He only won 2 Champions Leagues in 26 years."
Mourinho, Klopp, Conte, Ancelotti. The list goes on.
Guardiola will go down as one of, if not the greatest coach of all time. He has changed the game. Last night City played a 3-2-4-1. Stones was playing like liberio in front of the defence. He has perfected tika-taka and the high press. Not to mention the false 9.
¿Sera que?Libero y tiki-taka serán.
It's because people haven't got a clue how to have a discussion where they have differing opinionsEvery fukkin thread these days ends up with two posters arguing like little kids
ok - you'd better tell Ceferin.Yeah. Pay the referees. And hide it. Despite being totally legit

My perspective has probably changed since the opening post to be honest. I’d still say he should have delivered more in europe, but you’re right in the sense that he’s changed footballHe's moulded some of the best sides the world has seen. He's played a big part in revolutionising modern football.
Still not enough for some.

You are not wrong. Excellent manager but Overrated IMO.I’m sure I’ll get tons of abuse for this, so I’ll caveat in advance. He’s clearly a top coach. This is more a “is he as good as he thinks he is?” post
it’s now 10 years since he won the champions league. Despite having pretty much unlimited money at City and coaching Bayern, one of the biggest clubs on the planet
He got somewhat fortunate with Barca as he inherited arguably the best player ever in his prime
look at his City numbers. He’s been great domestically. But he should be when you look at what he’s bought. The transfer fees are from memory, so tell me I’m wrong
Ederson £35m (one of the highest fees ever at the time)
Walker £50m
Mendy £50m (even without the news he’s been crap)
Cancelo £40m+
Dias, Stones, Ake, Laporte at a combined £220m ish
Rodri £60m
De Bruyne £57m
Silva £35m
Jesus £27m
Mahrez £60m
Grealish £100m
Torres £25m
there will be more. Probably only one looks a shocker, but given the money surely he has to win more?
who has he sold at a profit? Sane?
who has he developed? Foden?
I’ll get pelters, but 10 years since a CL. With that money. He’s not the genius he thinks he is?
Olvídalo zoquete.¿Sera que?
