Why ? They wanted to punish him more
i know, and they always seemed such a decent bunch of ladsAlways felt tricking Tommy into thinking he was getting ‘made’ before whacking him was a bit harsh.
They could’ve just killed him whenever surely
All working for Paulie who was a Caporegime in the Lucchese familyAm I right in thinking none of the three main characters were made guys?
I was sure it was “wise guy” not “gangster” but you are right. It was indeed gangster. As far back as I can remember I wanted to be a gangster
Yup. Joe Pesci’s character was tricked into thinking he was getting made but got whacked instead. For killing the guy in the bar who insulted him.Am I right in thinking none of the three main characters were made guys?
I think Henry and Jimmy were part Irish. Excluded them from being made as I recall, had to be able to trace both sides of their ancestry back to Sicily.Am I right in thinking none of the three main characters were made guys?
You are correct.I think Henry and Jimmy were part Irish. Excluded them from being made as I recall, had to be able to trace both sides of their ancestry back to Sicily.
Mebbe wrang.
Along with Lorraine Bracco. Absolutely awful pairingRay Liotta ruins it for me

Whacked a ‘made’ man.he did nothing wrong....very misunderstood was Tommy
I always think of some random rave song that uses the sample 'as far back as I can remember I wanted to be A MOTHERFUCKIN HUSTLER' then the beat kicks offI was sure it was “wise guy” not “gangster” but you are right. It was indeed gangster.
Aye, only Tommy could be made but that was never going to happen with him being too much of a loose cannon. Michael Franzese ex Colombo capo does excellent podcasts on YouTube, and he reckons Henry wasn’t as big or important in real life as Goodfellas makes out. Although he does say it’s a fairly accurate portrayal and one of the best mob films.Am I right in thinking none of the three main characters were made guys?
I’m a bit of an Italian American mafia encyclopaedia having read and watched loads about it, and supposedly Tommy (actual real name Tommy DeSimone) was even far worse and more of a psycho in real life than the film portrayed him to be. Which is saying something!
