Jobe Bellingham - Signed

If he is 50% of what his brother was at a similar age , I think he will be a cracking player for safc

I look forward to seeing him play. All for this type of signing

Jobe is more of a CAM isn't he? What a player to add to the ranks though, it really sets the standard of quality we can sign and will only cause to attract other players of his calibre, like that Chilean lad were looking at. Excited to see who we can bring in, but I would, just out of spite, try to sign either Luton or Coventry's best player, depending on which one loses in the final. Imagine a MF of Ekwah, Hamer & Bellingham?
Yeah, he's kind of like Embo, in that he's an attacking midfielder who can also play wide.

It might be. We can guess when hindsight has shown us....if we look at the relationship between coaches , players and family. Would anyone trust the process or go for as much money as possible?

It probably depends on how much money you have.

If your parents are both highly paid they're more likely to push for development over money than if your parents are living hand to mouth and barely keeping the heating on

What if you were in the middle then? Hypothetically, can get by but have one crack at an opportunity...do you take the money over development....or go for more money? Throw in playing for your boyhood club?

I get the struggle....money is everything when you have nothing. I totally understand.👍

Why has he been hardly played by Birmingham if so good.
He's only 17. The Birmingham fans think he has a lot of potential but are resigned to the fact that he'll be away as he's only got one more season left on his contract and they need the money.

A few not happy, one or two thinking he'll be "the one that got away."

Good to hear, like the way we are being run now since shorts first season...

I hope the young lads at the academy see the relevance of this to their careers.

The younger brother of one of the top young talents in the world is looking to move to us when he could have his pick of anywhere. Due to the coaching, the pathway, the environment that allows young talent to thrive. Bellingham senior see’s this and brings his son to our game to see the environment first at hand that is best for his son.

Meanwhile Rigg senior is taking pics of him and his son at mag games and putting them on social media. Feel sorry for Chris cos if he doesn’t make it, it’ll be because his fathers a gravy for brains mag and putting his own loyalties ahead of the best interests of his son.

From reading the thread, it appears Jobe is an attacking midfielder, assuming we keep the current shape, he's competition with Pritchard and Embo for the middle of the 3 behind the lone striker?

That a sensible assumption?

The dad is looking out and representing his lads. Money isn't the decider, it's development and opportunities. Jude is established of course, Jobe needs the next step. Dodds and co will get the very best out of him. Great recruitment again and coming here for the right reasons.
It could encourage more to see their career and development in that way instead of bright lights and stale careers.
Hopefully gives an example to certain academy players who are thinking of jumping ship - without blocking their pathway!
