For any of you nuggets who still go to the match and moan when ever a player trys something that does not come off, remember what he just said about the fans .
Quote ‘letting them make mistakes and try again’
If your going to get on a players back everytime he loses the ball stay away, your more detrimental to the team than the opposition.
What we had last season was a special moment in our history, and the fans were a massive part of it, don’t underestimate the part you have to play.

Well said this is one of the reasons your end up with so many sideways and backwards passes because they always come off and are easy

Has had multiple critics last season who for some reason just couldn't see the talent he has, he looks like he's improved as well over the Summer and if he carries on as he's started this term what a player we've got here.

He was one of the best players on the pitch today. Didn't do fancy skills like Clarke, have numerous efforts like Roberts or score a couple like Mayenda but I thought him and Rigg bossed that midfield today. It was a very mature, professional performance.

There were times last season where he didn't deserve his place tbh. Possibly due to his size people seem to forget he's still just a kid.

However, has obviously put some work in over the summer as he's come back fitter and stronger. The scary thing is as he gets older and even stronger he's going to take some knocking off the ball.

MOTM today as he put in a fantastic shift. 4-0 up, minutes to go and he's still chasing hard and putting his foot in.

He started last season extremely well & faded badly as the winter approached. It was obvious there’s a very good footballer there, but the minutes he got didn’t help his form. Suppose you can coupe this with multiple managers. I clutched at any stats I could & said I hoped because he played so many minutes last year, we’d see the benefit in future seasons.

He’s started the season extremely well. Hopefully this form continues all season.

Anyone seen the fan interviews on the Sunderland Facebook page?

Fan 1: Jobe, outstanding. Bellingham, outstanding
Fan 2: that’s the same bloke man
Fan 1: Aye, outstanding

Jobe was that mint today one of our fans thought he was on the pitch twice

probably a different debate, but one of the problems last year was that as he seemed to play almost every minute of every game once you're into the rough end of the season you need decent stamina to maintain form & the his form fell off as he didnt have the stamina (cause he's a young lad!).

He's obviously put some work in over the break. Never stopped today.
