Jobe Bellingham - Signed

Just my opinion, but it makes the club look very ambitious from outside, and could maybe help with the lure of other players. It wasn't that long ago big clubs were looking to get him in to develop, so to pull this off should show a few in the footballing world that we're a club that can be taken seriously again after years/decades of piss poor ownership/management.
Agree it's like clowt chasing on social media, the Bellingham name is one of the biggest names in football media because of his brother going to the biggest club in the world. It gets our name linked with that, the world of football is geared towards keeping your name or club in the media. Every little bit of exposure helps.
agree, fact top sides arent in for him at 3m shows his career will be lesser than brother but looks a coup to me
I reckon we've beaten clubs to his signature, the link between Dodds and speakman and our team full of youngsters being given freedom to play will have played a role in this. The big teams will have been looking and no doubt if he has a good season next season he will be taken if we don't go up.

The dad is looking out and representing his lads. Money isn't the decider, it's development and opportunities. Jude is established of course, Jobe needs the next step. Dodds and co will get the very best out of him. Great recruitment again and coming here for the right reasons.
It could encourage more to see their career and development in that way instead of bright lights and stale careers.

I'd love Michut to stay but if he does go hopefully Jobe is a good replacement and longer term prospect if he's under contract.

He's mint, major reason we've had such a good season, he has played nearly every minute. doesn't have a french name though so must be shite.
Couldn’t care less if he had a French, German, English or Zimbabwean name, if you think he’s a major reason why we had a good season you mustn’t have been watching much.

Just bitter Birmingham fans that another Bellingham has left them still a teenager.
Got a fair whack and something like a 25% sell on fee for Dortmund so I read. Some hefty whack like so they might not be that bothered. He was always going to leave. Hope Jobe can be anywhere near that level. Would be class

I bet its easier to do that for your second son when you have a close knit family and your first son is making more money than anyone could responsibly spend in multiple liftimes.

It might be. We can guess when hindsight has shown us....if we look at the relationship between coaches , players and family. Would anyone trust the process or go for as much money as possible?

It’s a balancing act….Injuries can happen at any moment and change the course of a career drastically at that age
