Just my opinion, but it makes the club look very ambitious from outside, and could maybe help with the lure of other players. It wasn't that long ago big clubs were looking to get him in to develop, so to pull this off should show a few in the footballing world that we're a club that can be taken seriously again after years/decades of piss poor ownership/management.

agree, fact top sides arent in for him at 3m shows his career will be lesser than brother but looks a coup to me

I think people's main concern is that it is very likely to be a significant part of the budget spent on a player who, at present, hasn't really shown much to suggest he will get into our side.

He's not a first team regular in a side who finished 17th in the Championship last season.

Now we don't know the structure of the deal etc, but it's a fair concern based on the information we have at present IMO.

90% of teams in this division won't spent £3m in total.

I’m sure the club knows how much money we have. Why is it a concern?

Wouldn't be expecting too much straight away. Some folk already picking their midfields with him in already ffs. One for the future.
Wasn't that far away from the starting lineup at Brum, adds much needed height to the midfield, I don't think it's too far of a stretch to say he could slot straight into our team imo.

Very true, it's not like he is unknown to Speakman and Dodds and with Dodds here and how well the Bellingham's speak about him it should be all good

I trust the club to do their homework these days, like they've done with their recruitment recently, and then there's the added knowledge of what Speakman and Dodds know about the lad. They'll know themselves if he has the right kind of temperament and drive.

I don’t care, but surely it’s because they think the money could be better spent elsewhere as we don’t have unlimited money.

Say we overpay on buying a striker we shouldn’t not care just because it’s not our money. As it means we can’t strengthen elsewhere.

Seems obvious enough

Just think supporters get too involved in the cost. I highly doubt it’ll be £3M up front either.

If anything this one is more of a safe bet as he has pretty much grown up around Dodds

Probably an unfair comparison due to his brother being outstanding, and still yet to hit his own peak. I think we'll have done enough checks on the lad other than just his surname to know there's a player there.

I haven't said the owners are tight? £3 million seems a big amount of money for him, the stories I read said less than a million

We have got at assume that speakman and Dodds is it? Have seen him develop and feel its worth it. That will do for me for now
