Hartlepool United

Been going to Pools games on and off for 15 years, brother-in-law is about the biggest Pools fan there is, and I went to college in Hartlepool so I have mates who are fans. That yesterday is the worst performance I’ve ever seen from them. Absolutely turgid. They need an absolutely massive summer because their current squad will struggle next year too

In Eighteen Hundred and Forty One....The corduroy breeches I put on.....Me corduroy breeches I put on........to work upon the Railway, the Railway.....

I'm weary of the Railway.......Poor Paddy works on the Railway...

....... In Eighteen Hundred and Forty Two..... From HARTLEPOOL I moved to Crewe........ found meself a job to do......working on the Railway.........

....I was wearing......... Corduroy breeches ....digging ditches.....pulling switches.... dodging pitchers..... Working on the Railway!!!!

Poor Paddy works on the Railway..... 😖

Absolutely Gutted and fear poor Hartlepools will never been seen again, some very tough Teams in the National League with Oldham my favourites to win it next Season!!!

Was amazed when the Team who quite easily maintained League 2 status in 2021-2022 was dismantled by the powers that be in favour of a cheaper option of National League standard players under a clueless manager at the start of the 2022-2023 Season, I watched as an ex - Gatesheed striker filled his boots against Pools at Walsall with the only plan, which has consisted throughout a diabolical Season being to hit it up to the Big Man up front and hope he out muscles their Centre half.....Keith Curle tried in vain to put a sticking plaster over a major wound with some minor Victories (at Rochdale and Crawley) but the revolving door of substandard mercenaries and three Managers in a Season has led to this, with trips to (with respect) Ebbsfleet, Wealdstone, Dorking Wanderers and sundry other such nonsuch places for the Mighty Hartlepools faithful next Season!!!!!

Ha'way the Lads and Up the Pools......Always!!!!

Isn’t there a possibility of it being 3 up, 3 down between League 2 and National League next season. I hope so, that’ll be a little bit less daunting for them.
Can't see that happening & I don't think it should, I feel its a privilege to be a League club & needs to be earned & not treated as a straight 3 up 3 down, unless its named as League 3 with all the benefits (money).

In the next 10 years I can see it becoming part of the football league. It’s completely different nowadays compared to when it was set up.

I don't really follow the logic of this. If they promoted 3 teams to League Two instead of 2, why wouldn't they have "earned it"?

At the moment I feel gutted for Notts County: over 100 points and they're still going to have to win the playoffs to go up!

They have 106 points, 25 more than the 3rd-placed team.

Pallister is a mate of the owner, I think he must do some sort of unofficial work for the club in some capacity, he's been about a while and was also at Salford on Tuesday, they were posing for photos with Bryan Robson which the official club media shared on social media and had to delete several hours later as they got the dogs abuse :lol:

Pools is one of the worst places for an official, basically no hiding place, they hear everything especially those running the line, the amount of abuse is unreal, been like for that decades, this season about as bad as I've known

I couldn't understand the applause at full time but I guess folk pay their money. I know @toosb was at the game in the mill house terrace and he said he had to calm someone down before they got themselves into trouble :lol:

Yeah I did. Tbh he has me to thank for not being in a cell last night 😂
The players got dogs abuse at the end when they came over to applaud, only the GK escaped criticism.

Not sure how many will know of that Hashtag United team the youtube bloke started but if pools go down they'll only be two leagues above them

Greg Halford does play for them mind so might be paying decent money but still, madness

Some absolute characters in the town end like. Felt like every mentalist in town rocked up.
Anger was starting towards the owner, final home game things could get nasty.

Players pissed me off, just went through the motions against very mediocre opposition. Like us I heard their worst games are kept for the biggest gates!

Was funny seeing the police escort of about 60 crawley from the station. One shouted something n a copper threw him against a car!

Mate was telling me how much non league hit the takings at the club, raglan, various other bars, restaurants n hotels. Massive shame then you see such a mickey mouse outfit/away following it adds insult to injury.
Funds/takeover needed asap.

This Mate, Detest Crawley, even had one of their snitching fans trying to get my lad and me thrown out down there as I was with their Captains Dad in the home end.

We took over 1200 to Wimbledon with nothing to play for. They were praising our vocal support then criticising Stevenage, Crawley and Sutton for only bringing a few fans.

Stelling says Singh is determined to prove to the North East footballing world that he is fit to run a club, despite perceived failings at rivals Darlington.

“He is happy his name is out in the public domain,” said president Stelling. “I just hope it is a positive reaction.

“One of the things that drove him away from that club was that the fans were negative, understandably so, although they did not know the whole story.

“That negativity disillusioned him. We weren’t too sure what the response would be but all I would say is that even thought I’d never met him until a few months ago, his intentions are to right a perceived wrong from Darlington.

“He wants to show that he can be the right type of person to run a football club and he has chosen that club to be Hartlepool.”

:lol::lol::lol:

Want them to do well generally and I feel for all Poolies but Stelling and that horrible rotten fucker in charge are getting everything they deserve. Hope Challinor’s laughing his cock off at them on the final day if Stockport beat them to seal promotion.

Insane that Raj Singh is allowed anywhere near a football club.

Rotten to the core football club ownership.

I've just seen a rumour on FB (I know) that Ryan Reynolds wanted to buy Hartlepool before Wrexham, but Singh told him to do one.
It was the other bloke involved in wrexham Rob McElhenney who decided to buy a football club after watching Sunderland Til I Die on netflix. Hartlepool was the first club they looked at. How far they ever got with it I have no clue

Wouldn't believe a single thing he says, especially the bit about a big budget for next season, pulled that same trick twice this season
I haven't read the statement, I just seen a post elsewhere, saying the club is supposedly being put up for sale.
The buck for relegation, ultimately stops with the chairman, for the poor managerial appointments he overseen and the shockingly bad players that were brought in.
