The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

I probably do underestimate what modern cctv camera do, as I have been away from that field for 11 years now. When you zoom in and get clear definition of an item, does it still record the initial view before zoom. Will these cameras integrate with the present control room equipment or will it need its own monitoring system. Will it mean replacing all the present cameras with the ones you suggest, to stop their being a need for 2 monitoring systems. I presume the operatives will need to be retrained

As for HSE demands, will perspex and or netting hinder, stop or delay any escape if so required from the upper tier if it was required
You can, and we do, retrospectively zoom in on the images after they’ve occurred to confirm package IDs, so there must be some integrated multi-camera system inside one “camera device” that facilitates this. I’m sure the supplier could be consulted and explore the idea at least, but as usual the club won’t even entertain suggestions.

I don’t see how a net blocks an escape route unless you intend to jump from The north stand upper in the event of a fire, which I wouldn’t fancy. Neil did confirm though the only blocker was club finances in the RAWA meeting

I'm in the SWC so whilst it's far from me it's in full view. I agree 100% that the club have been shocking with their inactivity to prevent this. The other issue is after the flare was thrown you could see where the blue smoke originated from so about 10 stewards went to where it was thrown. That's not good that stewards have to go into a away crowd of a club with a reputation of having some dodgepot fans after they've just scored.
It's asking for trouble. I can see they being a bust up as a result of the stewards having to go into the crowd. It's shit on them, I know some of them are arseholes but I assume it's not a highly paid job. How many like having wading through a crowd of pissed up Brummies celebrating looking a the bellend that chucked a flare.
Unfortunately that's the job they signed up for, plus there's police up there too.

Strange club can do something straight away regarding flags with a rude meaning on them

yet can they bollix find a solution to this & they’ve had over a year to sort it

typical Sunderland

Put them in the North or south. Those are the only options. If the club sticks with their stance of above in the North then I won't be renewing.
North East, South East.
Far better options

But surley the cost of netting etc would surely compensate if anyone sued the club because they got hurt
It's this isn't it.... If someone is hit and injured, at the moment they could sue the club because searches at the turnstiles haven't been sufficient, and the club haven't done anything practical with the ground to stop missiles from coming down.

Nobody’s laughing, you are just lashing out at someone again because you are being told the fans won’t be moved.

When I say North or south I mean the corners. Not saying give the away fans their old space back. I completely agree about the NEC or the SEC

Football has changed for the worst in the last 15 years, there's much more trouble nowadays especially post Covid.

It's the same argument as there was no problem with away fans in the North Stand for 10 years either.

The South stand has different problems and our own supporters over there aren't angels either. Having them next to Coventry being twats is asking for a disaster ie:

and that's just Coventry.

Coventry have the worst fans in the U.K.

Cowardly soft shites the lot of them
