The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

Not only does every single team cheat, deceive, feign and con, their fans all have this pathological obsession with those smoke flares. The solution is simple. Have what every business needs to have. Better security. At our place (ASDA) we might as well let them walk away with entire shelving. The security is non existent at times. But when they are around would-be thieves couldn’t walk out with a dead flea (lame I know but you get the idea). Because they are good at their job. They seem thorough - when they are arsed. The Stadium security clearly I think need to be better aware of the dangers of the possibility of opposition fans carrying smoke canisters. Check them more.

I’m fed up of the same shit happening week in, week out. The release of the season tickets for next year was the time to move the away fans but of course that would have required some work.

A net is the obvious answer.

did anyone get lifted for throwing the flare?
For next season yes but wouldn’t stop everything. The net can’t go all the way to the front of the north stand and won’t stop everything.

After that they need to be moved. I believe given the new family enclosure for 2024/2025 the away fans will be moved to the SE corner.

New family enclosure? Where'd family zone being moved too? Never seen anything mentioned about that

Exactly. We need people to cancel direct debits until they at least decide to put a net up.
Someone's child is going to be seriously hurt.

I know what yer saying but cancelling DD’s is just gonna end up causing more angst and frustration for fans, especially when the ticket office are off the scale useless.
All of the fans groups, fanzines, podcasts need to get there’re heads together and come up with a synchronise plan to embarrass the club into doing something. They plainly aren’t listening using the current lines of communications and dialogue.

Away fans are throwing things over due to a lack of police in the ground and no consequences if caught. The club need to get the chequebook out and pay for a net and a proper police presence. They have a duty to protect their own supporters properly.
Time for Davison to go.

I've emailed today and I emailed the last home game it happened. I got no response previously
Emailed him after the glass bottle incident at the Coventry match.
Reply was just meaningless corporate stuff saying we're taking it seriously and we'll do something about it..... Fast forward and it's still happening.

Hull match and a week later same again....not acceptable

There you f***ing go. No-one has been hurt (yet) so they couldn't give shite

It's an absolute miracle no one has been hurt. The club are so lucky that no one has been hurt. They are winging it. It's hard to believe a group of experts came up with a solution to stop away fans throwing objects down onto home fans by.... Keeping the away fans above the home fans. They're getting paid to think of these decisions
