I’ve just bought a mandolin, of the kitchen/slice your finger off variety rather than the stringed instrument of WWII Greek island fame.I once skinned a knuckle with a nutmeg grater, it knacked.
Had a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop….
No wait. Honestly. The rupture in my nose was very close to an artery. Over the course of three days in Sunderland Royal. I had two operations to pack my nose. And a few blood transfusions to keep me going.
I bled through the first pack they put in, and was rushed back in for a second op. It was packed this time from inside my nose, and this second time from behind on the soft pallet. Now I couldn’t talk and was constantly drooling. It hurt just breathing. I lost two days with this, woke up twice and it was dark on different days. After 4 hours in the middle of the night I bled through this second pack too.
The specialist then suggested a procedure that way work - but he’d only done it a few times. This is where the real pain started. He said he would remove the pack in my nose and throat without general anaesthetic and it would hurt. When a specialist tells you it’s going to hurt he/she isn’t lying. once it was all out, here comes part two. He now was going to inject all up the inside of my nose with adrenaline. I’ve never to this day experienced pain like that last night.
The adrenaline injections worked, which is just as well, as the next step was to open my face up and cauterise the artery.
One of the nurses on the ward I was on said she’d rather give birth than what I went through those few days
Severely burned as a baby and had to be placed on a crucifix type thing to stop me tearing off the bandages. Screamed constantly for two weeks apparently. Thankfully I was too young to remember it now.

Mate of mine was roping an old bale trailer of straw, used a rope that he"d slung over to pull himself up to get onto the top of the stack (to sort the other ropes out as they were all over the shop). Rope snapped, he fell landed on his heel on a cobble stone in the yard and shattered it. He was in tears with the pain, still dosnt walk right now.Anyone who has broken their heal bones will probably win this. I've seen very strong people reduced to tears running down their face because of the pain
Jeez that sounds like torture mateSeverely burned as a baby and had to be placed on a crucifix type thing to stop me tearing off the bandages. Screamed constantly for two weeks apparently. Thankfully I was too young to remember it now.

What did you staple it to?Once stapled my thumb to see if it hurt. It did.
What did you staple it to?
I once cut my thumb seeing how sharp a piece of broken glass was, turns out it was quite sharp
