What medicines do SMBers take?

Were you a competitive sportsman at all?

Unless you county competitive laziness nothing could be further from the truth.

Until last year, apart from one dose of antibiotics for toothache, I hadn't taken a prescription medicine in over 10 years and hadn't seen my GP in over 5. As a 50th birthday present my GP invited my in for an MOT and then got a telling off that I was overweight, my blood pressure was too high, cholesterol was too high and blood sugar too high. I've been on the BP medication since then and have been trying to lose some weight and lower my cholesterol and blood sugar without any pharmaceutical help.

No medicines, just supplements;
Vitamin D
Turmeric with black pepper, ginger and boswellia
Calcium & magnesium
Vitamin k2
Glucosamine pyhtodroitin complex

I thought you meant general aches and pains.
The last time I had my blood pressure taken the reaction was that it was excellent.

I take 21 tablets a day.

Fludrocortisone
Renavit
Renacet
Apixaban
Codeine
Vit B Compound
Vit D
Clindamycin
Midrodrine
Don't know what most of them are but hope at least one of them is a stool loosener if you're on Codeine.;)

A mere 12 tablets a day for me. Spat my dummy out a while back because I hate taking them and my mate said "At least you're not dead" so I wound my neck in again.
At least I don't take the heavy duty blood thinners anymore, I despised those little bastards.

Unusual, once you are on BP meds you usually stay on them. How did you lower your BP? Was it diet?
stopped putting as much salt on food and don't drink as much coffee so that might have sorted it.
test myself every other day and today it was 122/72.
i only found out i had high blood pressure after failing my hgv medical due to it. went to see the doctor and he gave me some beta blockers. tbh it was a bit of a wake up call.

edit, iirc when i did the medical the first number was 170 and the 2nd was 102. that was the lowest of 3 goes.

I'm on dapagliflozin for my heart. Well, I might be, it's part of a trial to see if it helps my heart. 50/50 whether I'm on it or a placebo.
Aye I read it can be used for heart problems, I hope it does well for you 😘 (it's making me wee a lot and feel a bit dehydrated but hopefully it'll protect my heart as well as help get my blood sugar's down).

Occasional amitriptyline when my stress/frustration gets out of control and I stop sleeping.

Basically a living version of the cartoon stressed Eric.

Through stress I have torn my retina 3 times, which has effected my sight and it looks like I'm going to have to go onto blood pressure tables pretty soon.

Only 37, probs wasting my time paying into a pension

I've gone from no medication other than hay fever in summer to 7 drugs so god knows which is causing the side effects. Tired and fatigued all the time is the worst, though that could be the heart problems, time will tell.
Have you read what the side effects are for this drug in some folk! Gangerine in your cock! I’m on it too
