Sounds bout right based on my recollection from game. Just as soon as they 'revealed themselves' they were out and on pitch walking to Roker End. But how do you know they were from Durham and B Auckland? They took the Roker
If they say they took the Roker they were right cos that's what end they were in.. About 60 ot 70 got in the Fulwell early but didn't stay long, ran down the front and onto the pitch when it kicked off, ran the gauntlet of coins and a few punches on the way back to their own end. Most of them were from Durham, knew a good few of them from Bishop Auckland.
Aye its me like. See ya SundayEveryoneI know it’s you though
Did you know Ian ? Very Long hair , often tied into a ponytailGraham Russel he was called. He wore glasses, but he wasn't much like John lennon. That was the time I was there
I know it sounds silly, but does he get called something different (his surname)? If so, yes I know him, and he was there.Did you know Ian ? Very Long hair , often tied into a ponytail
My favourite down there.
I knew at least half a dozen of them really well, one of them was a best mate from school, saw them walk in, to the right of the Fulwell end towards the back. When it kicked off one of the nearest to them was a bouncer from Bishop who they knew and he put a couple of them on their arses.Sounds bout right based on my recollection from game. I've heard ya talk with an American twang like
Easter 1970 and a couple of hundred bottom left.It was Easter 69 when the mags were in the fulwell 1-1 if I recall s/land were on the left side looking from Roker end,
First match at SOL against the mags I recall going up Roker avenue a bar Red something no longer there a mob of Sunderland about 200 chocka inside with about 50 on pavement with old bill watching them like hawks as far as I'm aware mags never showed that day
I remember Vic Halom coming in there after a night match in the early nineties….think he was running to be a local MP.My favourite down there.
Exactly. Was too young for 85 however know some Washy mags who say they took the roker from videos they ran in shouted Newcastle and ran out?
That exactly what happened?
So you haven't seen the video on you tube of west ham taking over back in 80s filmed by the police.easy to find .Name me a better mob than Millwall mate.
