If the subject of the song sees it as racist, and asks supporters not to sing it, then it's de facto racist. End of story.

I think you're mixing up steroetypes with racism. I honestly don't think Asians would be offended if it was assumed they'd be good at maths.

I can see why it could be construed as being racist, that's not the same as it being racist. The main thing is what the lads wants, and he wants it to stop.
 
So are we changing the words? If so what to so I can at least tell the bairn something he can join in with?

Stereotyping Asian people as being good at maths is racist. It is holding up one race as the model immigrant to browbeat others, and also serves to dehumanize Asian people.
