I like Newall, I think he could slot in at left back for the first team if needed and would do OK. The rest probably need to fill out a bit get out on loan at some point.0-0 h/t. Standouts for Sunderland were the young lads. I was most impressed with Burke in the middle. He's 17 and is very tenacious and combative in the middle. He constantly wanted the ball and used it well. Our best chance was from Watson who is 16 and looks very talented. Newall at LB also did well. We are very lightweight up front as is Spellman who is just a bit too weak although works hard.
Reuben is 60 now, might be his grandson!Agboola subbed off at halftime
Ha Ha opinions eh,was just about to say how poor our let back wasI like Newall, I think he could slot in at left back for the first team if needed and would do OK. The rest probably need to fill out a bit get out on loan at some point.
Think the younger ones like Watson look to have a bit about themWouldn't hold my breath on any of these making it any time soon.
I similarly only caught the last 25mins but thought we passed it around well and that there was nothing between the two sidesOnly watched the last 25 minutes or so, but thought we were lacklustre all over the pitch and nobody stood out to say pick me for a first team squad. That was only the last 25 minutes mind so I can't comment on earlier.
I agree with the passing and it was neat and tidy, but thought there was no spark there where we would be able to break Wolves down though. Don't think Wolves were any better mind.I similarly only caught the last 25mins but thought we passed it around well and that there was nothing between the two sides
Wouldn't want him to start like but he reminds me a bit of a left footed Bardsley, could do a job for the first team in a pinch IMO.Ha Ha opinions eh,was just about to say how poor our let back was
