What would be to stop away fans chucking missiles sideways in the lower tier? Moving them creates more issues than it solves.I'm astonished at how many people are missing the point here. Focusing more on atmosphere than fan safety.
The mind truly does boggle.
Moving them back to their original home is the sensible option. What would be to stop away fans chucking missiles sideways in the lower tier? Moving them creates more issues than it solves.
lol wtfWhat would be to stop away fans chucking missiles sideways in the lower tier?
Moving them back to their original home is the sensible option.
Why?
1. It’s a tried and tested location
2. The access for away fans is easy and prevents issues outside the north stand where both sets of fans mix
3. It stops missiles hitting our fans

It was both, the incident coincided with the referees technical equipment stopping.Strange than Vincent Kompany claimed he was told the game was stopped for technical issues. Get a job in politics that fella

Can I ask where, approximately, in the stadium do you sit?1. It was tried and failed so they moved it
2. Violence arrests reduced significantly when they didn't have away fans coming out to sheepfolds and around the statue where people congregate. South stand is probably the worst area for mixing as so many go that way to the town. North stand allows away fans to filter away from the stadium in the opposite direction and the sheepfolds 'crush'.
3. It doesn't stop people being hit with missiles.
They don't need moving, it needs a net up. People have mentioned £15k-£16k to sort it and I'll bet we have at least one player on more than that a week. The club need to stop being ridiculous and sort it to protect our own fans.
There are nets all over Europe, they work.

Its Athletic so can't read it, yeah theres incidents - no idea if theres nets up at those games so can't comment. Went to a game in Germany in August and the away end had netting all around it to stop anything being thrown.
where they merge transfers from the north stand to the south stand. even greater amount of home supporters than at the north stand. easy warren for people to run away.Moving them back to their original home is the sensible option.

It didn't fail at all. It was Ellis Short wanted away fans moved soon as he seen where our fans were situated at their place. Simple as that.1. It was tried and failed so they moved it

Not really relevant what height an object comes from if it hits someone in the head. Thrown from the side or down below it could kill someone if it hit the wrong spot.Eh? Would they be throwing them from such a height that could cause serious damage, or worse death?
It’s sensible until you actually think of the logistics involved. Doesn’t seem like your capable of it.Moving them back to their original home is the sensible option.

The mags get away with it due to exceptions requested by Northumbria Police apparently. The logistics of having away fans up in the gods is a reasonThere is but it’s a premier league rule, the scum get away with it I imagine because their owner will execute Richard Masters if he enforces it.

It is though, absolutely. The force and velocity of something coming from 100 feet up is far more than someone throwing something straight ahead. Not really relevant what height an object comes from if it hits someone in the head. Correct, but both are dangerous and could kill someone which was the point I was making. Moving away fans doesn’t stop someone chucking a missile. It is though, absolutely. The force and velocity of something coming from 100 feet up is far more than someone throwing something straight ahead.
