The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

When the club moved to the SOL, and I being a Fulwell Ender bought a season ticket for the North Stand as it was to become the home end.
I had to move to the South Stand when they made the back of the North Stand BCB only.
The team still run to the North Stand when they come out as the home dressing rooms are purposely built to the left of the tunnel.
By creating the Black Cat Bar they took away the heart of the North Stand which was made up of old Fulwell Enders.
Totally agree. I was at the back until they moved me. Row 37 seat 82. Never forget it. Great days. Was gutted when they moved me. It's never been the same since.

Back row for me, was there one season when everyone moved back a row while they put the upper seats in.
That just came back to me. 🤣

Same here. First season tickets were bought in the North Stand as this was the 'home' end.

Some of my best days at the SOL were at the back of the North Stand.

I never understood why the BCB seats weren't put at the front of the North Stand Upper.
Me n the lads were at the back aswel when it opened for abiut 10yrs. Still miss it now. Just seemed much better with the away fans in the south stand and having an atmosphere in the ground. Both sets of fans bouncing off each other. Shite now.

To sort the home atmosphere I would…

1, move family enclosure from SEC to NWC

2, Leave the singing sections in south and SWC but encourage / extend into SEC

3, move aways to NEC / spilling over in east stand until we could extend that corner

4, move BCB seats to north west upper or leave in the lower but continue concrete wall from west stand so it’ll allow standing without causing chew

5, install standing rails in the north stand to make it a proper home end next to aways

I reckon the home games would be much better with this set up, with two home end bouncing off each other
We are really limited on where we can put the away fans due to the cells , we had to build new cells when we moved away fans from south stand, the original cells are between the south stand and the SWC so if you want to keep the south stand home fans then it would make the most sense to put them SWC.

And I can’t see the club building new police cells if they don’t have to

Donald and Methven run the club like a Northern League club, but I’m not seeing much capital investment in things like the stadium and facilities for fans from the new owner.
To give the two chances their due they paid for new seats , changed some tatty old carpets in the executive areas albeit done by loyal fans .
The new lot as you see don’t seem to have spent a penny.

I don’t see any issue with the position of the cells , if they have to arrest anyone they can hoy them in a van almost immediately and deal with them later.

Another game, more missiles thrown down on to the Sunderland fans in the North Stand.

Coventry fans once again showing themselves up after acting all innocent in the build up to the game.

We need action to prevent this from happening again.

Coventry should get zero allocation when they next visit. It’s every time with them.
Enough is enough, get them down in lower bowl in one of the corners just as Boro have done. Sadly there'll be those moved from seats held since 1997, but I'm sure the move can be sweetened with vouchers for club shop etc.

The hospitality areas are a joke now.

I’ve had my seat since day 1 , nothing would sweeten an enforced move , nothing at all.
