Mags in general. They think Newcastle is the greatest city in the world and even though I’ve lived here longer than I ever lived in Sunderland it’s not that great a city compared to some others.

Very few areas outside the city centre that aren’t run down. Even nice areas such as Gosforth have nothing special about them that other cities don’t.

The park in Gosforth is tragic. Run down and hardly a working piece of play equipment for the bairns

Palace played them off the pitch 2nd half yesterday, the mags were pretty poor.

With time? They've had new owners just over 7 months, did they expect to sign all the best players in the world and instantly become the best team in the world overnight?

It took Man City years, tons of mercenaries, fuck tons of money and multiple managers to eventually establish themselves.

I'm not sure that's entirely true mate, I took my two to Central Park after getting the metro from the Norwich match and other than a rope swing, everything was present and correct.

That said, I've been up here 16 years and your post, and the one you're replying to, (that the wider population don't care about NUFC) is true. Same as I wouldn't expect anyone in the North East to give two hoots about the Steel City Derby.

There's something to be said about moving miles away and how your perspective changes.

Going off topic I know but it honestly it is. Roundabout doesn’t work, they’ve taken out the skating hill. The ropes have been removed from the climbing frames.

You then look at the play parks in North Tyneside and how good they are in comparison. I’ve two under 8 so we go to loootttssss of parks 🤦🏻‍♂️

Genuinely think the council also buy into the “Newcastle is the greatest city on earth” narrative

Don’t get me wrong I love living here for the most part but it’s what the NE as a whole has to offer which is what makes it great. 10 mins from the coast, 20/30 minutes from a National park etc

Back on topic. I don’t get how they seem to think everyone loves them and their football club based on a load of stag and hen parties that come to the city
