See response to Waster....it does! Letting teams spend what they want will further increase the divide between the have's and the have nots.
Imo FFP was only introduced to make the champions league effectively a closed shop.

There wasn't the financial gulf between teams before the CL expanded to 3 and 4 places. Clubs spending isn't the issue as clubs have always spent with a rich owner.
Uefa even willing to offer "legacy" places for the 2024 restructuring of the champions league to make sure clubs that have a wobble and don't qualify will still get in.

From England lets say every year its 4 from Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Man United and Arsenal. These are well known global brands. Uefa wants them in the competition as often as possible. They don't want one year to have West Ham and Leicester in there, then Everton and Wolves another year. Keep the brand in tact.

Plenty of clubs have owners who could put in say a 100 million a year for transfers and wages, added in with other revenues, but FFP just keeps the boot of the biggest clubs on the throat of the rest.

I'm surprised any football fan supports FFP because it removes any chance of a club ever being better than top half with an odd European season. The bigger clubs being able to spend more will always take the better players from the weaker clubs and it'll never change the now established order

It’s a majority as well not a minority, they are tapped in the head.

Imagine if this happened to a player they were trying to sign, they would be marching back down to parliament and the premier league HQ to campaign against the corrupt cartel

Top 6 thought they were now part of the magnificent 7 ???

We have been in Europe once courtesy of the FA Cup...that was almost 50 years ago. I am more concerned about being back in the PL one day and letting clubs funded by a state blitz 1bn+ does not make the PL more equitable. You can twist and turn as much as you want but you will never convince me.

MY WORD, that is awful !
Shit like this goes on all the time over there unreported but Chi and the people of Newcastle are going to change them ! I mean why else would they have Queen Mandy unless it meant they actually respect women. They would have this in Newcastle and elsewhere if they could. Mind you if the mags could win a cup it would be acceptable

Absolutely horrific

How the f**k can these daft twats up the road defend these absolute SCUM BAGS !
I'm lost for words to try and compute how they would even try to stick up for people who do this sort of thing (amongst worst crimes too) just to be able to sign Chris bastard Wood from Burnley 😲

See my post mate. I'm absolutely baffled with them...

They are more concerned about the corrupt (again) PL and not getting a work permit through than any of that kind of atrocity. It shows where their moral compass lies
