We got a few champions league players and Kavanagh who was one of the highest performing midfielders for progressive passing in the premier league the previous season as well as Connolly who was the go to ‘too good for championship not good enough for prem’ 20 goal a season striker at the time for clubs wanting promotion.

As a side note im still bitter about Keanes treatment of Hysen haha, proper annoyed me at the time.

Connolly only scored 20 goals in a league season twice in his career.

I'd agree on paper however:

- We can't afford him
- Not worked (or therefore presumably lived) outside of London and the South east in 15 years (since he played for the mags). Clearly doesn't want to up roots himself or move his family.

Surprised at the low number of votes for Keane. That said, I can see why he might be seen as Yesterday's man and I've a slight misgivings in that he was in a bad place when he left us in 2008.
 
Wow! I'm seriously surprised at the amount of votes Mowbray has received considering 99% of the comments on him have been very negative 🤔

Tommy Smith wasn't a CF really, he was a wide player or support striker. Never scored more than 11 goals in any season in his career.
Although he didn't always start, and did have a tendency to grab important goals.

Joined on Thursday as I used the "Love Supreme" bus for the 1st time and noticed this forum on their website.
