As if you’re from Manchester, posting on an NUFC thread trying to claim to be the gatekeeper for Sunderland supporters
Born and bred in NE now live in Manchester, still a ST holder for 45 years and travel up for games. Not a plastic like mags. This thread is not for you utter wankers. It’s about calling out your murderous owners, and showing up mag supporters like you as utter 🤡 shoes

That spectacularly low crowd took place on the final day of the Second Division season 1978-79.
For some historical perpective, crowds were down across the football leagues. The average crowd in the First Division was 23.500 (Chelsea and Bolton) while Newcastle averaged 20,500. I believe they were averaging 26,500 until two things happened: a fans' boycott and legal action taken by them against some directors and, second, resuots fell off a cliff.
Furthermore, that Wrexham game took place on a day of awful weather and rumour spread that the game had been called off.
All in all, that match is one of the least typical you could have chosen in the history of NUFC.
They had a record low crowd the previous season in the top division against Norwich when they were relegated at the end of the season,

I imagine Trippier might move into coaching possibly whilst still with us? As for Wood we will likely need to be subsidising him for a while if/when he moves.

I can see him going on loan with a proportion of wages paid. The transfer had the desired effect, weakened Burnley, but can’t see him having much of a part to play with Isak having signes.

Do you know what he’s actually on? Genuine question as I have no idea, just assuming a lot for his ability.

Who? Wood? Not sure but I'm sure 100k was mentioned somewhere. If that's accurate, we will struggle to offload him fully like. He was the one signing I think which was a panic.

Good squad player to bring off the bench from time to time. A bit of a luxury, I suppose if he only makes the occasional substitute appearance.
