I can't stand them but I'm honest enough to admit that they're miles ahead of us at the moment, it's just facts. Am I happy that a murderous Saudi regime has taken over the mags and made them sign quality players? Of course not but that's the reality and I'm not going to delude myself like some people. I saw some people on here saying Guimaraes is shite it's just delusional man
They are one league ahead of us. Every PL team is throwing money at it. All the mags are doing is keeping up with the rest.

Just because they have rich owners doesn’t mean the rest of the league are going to give up.

Brighton are the best run club in the league, that’s who we should aim to replicate.

I agree with you on this, but there bubble will soon burst now that the man behind it all, Dan Ashworth, has moved on to bigger and better things.

I said it about Trippier and Wilson and got angry reactions at both. I’m fairly confident Isak is a good player, and he’s only 22. It’s a lot of money, but I doubt they’ll care when he’s banging in goals.

And bang in the goals he will because he's been written off on here and (Wood excepted) this place is always completely wrong when it comes to how a player/manager will do as hope doesn't turn into reality. See WHU appointing Moyes (West Ham relegated under him etc) Coventry doing comfortably well first season back in the Championship after pipping us to Promotion (they'll gan straight back down etc).

Neil will probs end up winning the playoffs for Stoke and Isak will score a shit load.

Mags sign what looks like a quality striker for a record breaking fee with their blood money and we lose our best manager in years to Stoke city, shite day
Cant believe hes went to Stoke of all places. The idiot. You'll finish above them for a start.

Wood was a a half decent transfer purely on the basis that it weakened Burnley. He’s going to be on a canny wage to sit on the bench/reserves now, mind.

Think that was a huge part of why we signed him. I expect he will leave in January possibly like. Thought Burnley played it smart when they replaced him with that Weghorst, but think he was on their bench come the end of the season?

I thought the same, but was wrong with Weghorst. Certainly wasn’t scoring for them.
Impossible to say, but I think they’d have stayed up if they’d managed to keep Wood, but I imagine he’s on a fortune at Newcastle.

The problem will be, who can afford his wages? Same with Trippier on a longish contract. Maybe a move to China or Middle East.

Can you lot not fuck off to your own boards to discuss the merits of overpriced mercenaries 🙄

What a glorious day to be a NUFC fan - record signing made, Sunderland's manager walks out on them after a decent start to the season, a winnable game with Wolves tomorrow but yet the first posts I read today are from @Sabre Mag and @maginpeace. How bizarre. And for completeness, and knowing Exile is otherwise engaged, I took a look at the mag and what do I find but an article by the racists alcoholic, Bazook, that is not about NUFC but all about RTG. What a sad sad individual.
Yep I unfortunately read that also one of there best days ever

I imagine Trippier might move into coaching possibly whilst still with us? As for Wood we will likely need to be subsidising him for a while if/when he moves.
