Spot on. Its becoming clear here that there was a storm building on social media due to lack of action and players turning them down. The Pacqueta to West Ham thing emerges and they panic and put a huge bid in for the Swede. Calms everyone down as they know Mags are obsessed with transfer fees over the actual player.

Assuming they sign this Swede that will take their spending up to £210m on new players, added to a further £20m they've spent on the stadium and training ground since the Saudis bought them.

Everton know FFP is a thing. They have had to sell before they could buy for the last 3 windows.

Or they just ran out of money after spending £500m on absolute dross. They certainly didn't receive any sort of punishment. Forest have spent about £150m. I honestly don't think it even exists!

Forest are gambling. They won't be able to spend like that going forward but they have over a £100M a season from Sky burning a hole in their pocket.

If they stop up they get another £100M if they go down they have parachute money and they'll have clauses in contacts. Lingard is only on a one year contract.
