All I have to go on is his recent record, 6 goals in his last league season.

As for his future, nobody can foresee how he will do in the coming seasons.

Chris Wood's overall record is OK. However, he was having a poor half season prior to you signing him. 3 goals for Burnley, then he got 3 for you.

And you can look to the season before that, where he got 1 in 2, to see that he does have the ability to be a 1 in 2 striker.

Of course it could go either way, but you can't blame Newcastle fans for seeing the good in him and wanting him / hoping him to be good
