I didn't campaign or protest against Ashley either, but I did want shot of him. Some are against the Saudi ownership, but it's far fewer than were against Ashley.

Why do you think that is?

For me it boils down to the way they run the club. It's early days but we seem to have ambition, structure, the will to be a better club. All of that was lacking in the Ashley years. He was happy to see us scrape 17th and be a glorified Sports Direct advertising billboard
£££££££££££££££££££££££££££

If MSB was say the dodgy head of a bank and say Maybe scrapped by on half a billion. But he was lusting after 11 year olds who had to be moved out of the country, his hench men chopped up a journo that was going to expose his dodgy business practices, he actively barred gay workers and maybe he was a sponsor of a terror group that committed vile crimes.

What say you about your efficiently ran clubs owner then. I’m not a one to insult people but sorry but I feel you are deluding yourself if you think it’s anything but £££££££.

Maybe another mirror we could hold up is say putin took over Sunderland budget from the Gazprom etc. it’s not a massive jump to make a comparison of the two nations bar scale. Border wars, war crimes, human rights violations, interference with the democratic process in other nation states. What you say about us. I know I would be on the streets screaming blue murder.

I like some of your crack it’s a canny wind up. But please let honesty win here.

I said the other day after the mags 3-3 win over City Wilson and ASM are injury prone and so Wilson already may have done his hamstring in. Funny if ASM does go to Man Utd though, also said for the past 2 years I don't understand why a bigger club like Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, Man Utd haven't gone in for him for 40m, he has his injury problems but when fit can scare any defence with his pace and skill.

I think he’s a quality player. Couple of the mags I know are a bit ambivalent about him actually and it’s me telling them they’re daft and he’s quality! For someone like Utd he’d be great

Money is obviously part of it, never claimed it wasn't. Having every penny that comes in bring spent on improving the club is what every fan wants. It's fair to say this isn't your Chelsea/Man City instant cash bonanza and instead is a much needed, from the ground up slow rebuild. That's because Ashley let everything off the pitch slide, while doing the bare minimum regarding the situation on it.

Regarding a Sunderland takeover, were it sanctioned by the powers that be, I think I'd give as much of a fuck as I did about the Chelsea and City takeovers. As in, not a flying one. Gazprom money has been flowing into Champion's League clubs through sponsorship for years anyway. It wouldn't be an outrage to me if it was diverted to one club instead.

Also, I'm not here on the wind up. I'd not even bother engaging with posts like yours and discussing these things if I was

I don't think you all have to take anything on the chin, it's obviously a minority at fault. I've said a few times on here, every club has a few of them.

Our fanbase on Twitter have an uncanny track record of making a tit out of themselves regarding most things to be fair. The takeover has given the idiots another string to their bow. But it's good to see reams of Newcastle fans underneath these comments calling out such bullshit and not accepting it. It shows that the sensible folk outnumber the wrong 'uns, even on the cesspool that is Twitter

Theres absolutely no chance your lot are in the minority when it comes to Adam Johnson stuff like. Hideous.
Joao Pedo is going nowhere until the schools go back

Well it appears we must be cut from different cloth. Think you have at least shown some honesty in not giving a f**k about the moral argument. I accept what you say about gazprom money but maybe you missed the essence of what I meant ie ownership and the reasons behind me it.

I couldn’t accept them at my club but I’ve always been involved in activism, so it might just be the snowflake in me.

As for being accepted by the powers that be. You have another man of the lowest of moral standards to thank.

I’ll try not to preach about the Saudi regime but calling it sinister is like saying Hitler had a bit of a dark side.

doubt all you like skunk, your not welcome on here, why do you stay?, is it to defend your despicable owners?, justify your begging for them to take you over?
Purely to defend the indefensible of an abhorrent ownership. Tries lamely to infer no one ‘supports’ the owners and their m.o but spends all day every day on a rivals board constantly justifying the takeover. Not one of them seems to realise ‘the project’ is fuck all to with Newcastle and everything to do with using them to try and improve their image. The don’t give a single fuck about their city/club and Queen Mandy🤢 would rather be in London than slumming it in the North East

Poorly worded by me there to be fair. It's not that I don't give a fuck about the moral argument in total, as I'd love all of these ***** to be kicked out of football/trading/whatever the fuck they want to do until they clean their act up. But I just think it's so far gone and widespread it's impossible to extricate myself from it.

I'd had to have given up on watching premier league football when Abramovich took over and questions were raised about how he got his money. I'd need to cancel my Sky sub etc. as it was indirectly putting money into his shady pocket.

I still watched my team "compete" in the same league (sometimes) as City and Chelsea, knowing what was going on. Now a dodgy owner has stepped in and taken over my club, and it's not much more of an ask to hold my nose since I'm already holding it anyway.

I'd love a morally sound owner to buy us off the Saudis and still be able to grow the club in the same way the Saudis will, but the sums of money were talking about mean it's just not going to happen.

I don't like the term snowflake at all by the way, I don't accept that as a term for standing up for what you believe is right. Keep doing what you're doing, don't stop talking about shit like this and hopefully it makes a difference. That's one of the reasons I'm here discussing it, I'm not one to ignore such issues, I've spoken about them with fellow Newcastle fans and I'm on here to get the spicier, no holds barred take from our local rivals

Any takers for Steve Wraiths new film? You can also pay to take part well isn’t that nice of them

What a load of codswallop. You think because your team plays in the same league as teams with not half as bad owners as yours, means you should accept your kid marrying ,genocidal, journalist murdering owner? Have you no mind of your own? Do you do things just cos other people do? And you have said countless times on here protesting or speaking out, won't make a blind bit of difference to the Saudis, so what's the point in doing it. Now you are telling the fella to keep talking and standing up for what he believes in, as it will make a difference. You have tied yourselves in so many knots again, you weak minded fool.

If ASM and Wilson are injured for longish periods of the season then they will finish bottom half. They are the 2 stand out players
