Nah we are the true lads fans! Nowt wrong with that on your birth certificate. can I ask if you can beat Heaton Manor as your high school though, I cant think anyone has had a tougher round than me.
I cant help but feel a strong connection to Newcastle because ive lived here my whole life, while having a season card for the lads the whole time, but this Saudi thing has left me feeling a bit embarrassed for mags and very detached from it all.
They have gone ā€œfull magā€ over it and cant seem to help themselves.
I never lived in Newcastle, I’m a Washy lass, but Princess Mary was the specialist maternity hospital and me mam was in there for 6 weeks before I was born because of high blood pressure, probably due to knowing what was to come with me šŸ˜‚

The Saudi buy out makes me sad and depressed, a lot of decent people, who just happen to support the Mags, selling their souls and their principles, defending the indefensible.

You do wonder what it would take for some football fans to develop even the slightest degree of cynicism about people who get involved in running football clubs.

It takes a club to fold/nearly fold.
They go on about "suffering" under Ashley but then hero worship these lot.

Ask a Bury fan if they'd chant an owners name ever again? Or a Darlo fan? Fans who genuinely (in a football sense) suffered when their clubs folded.

I bet they'd view any owners with serious cynicism

I really admire any of them willing to stick their heads above the parapet and do this because they will get so much shit. Every credit to them

Agreed.

And when this all falls through... there will be thousands of mags all claiming that they supported the fanzine and no one ever slagged them off for taking a stand.

Then the sportswashed will use these people as an example of how no one wanted the Saudis in the first place

Oh they’ll re-write history, they’ve got form for that.

Any fan who isn’t cynical about club owners hasn’t been paying attention.

Genuine question here. I’ve asked this before but didn’t get an answer back. What is this ā€œlads fanā€ saying. Where has it come from and how long has it been a thing. I’ve only ever heard it on this forum.
There you go mate, its just an us thing, bit like Haway the lads which got copied with a dodge spelling.
Lads fans follow the Sunlan
