@4everredandwhite

Dont waste your time lad. He who owns them orders torture and death and the innocent bombing of children. Along with castration rape and stoning.

Least said about the middle eastern street parties/celebrations after 9/11. Of which 15 of the slimey saudi ***** were active, alongside the many other slimey ***** who organised and funded it. They're martyrs now though......load of shite.

Not me. I thought you didn't like generalising fanbases.
Ok. The way the vast majority of people on here use the term "sportswashed" is literally backwards.

I've got issues with the way context brought to a discussion and any instances of hipocrisy are attempted to be shut down by false hoots of "whataboutery" too

Of course it is sportswashing. If you believe that the Saudis are genuinely interested in the football side of things, then you probably still believe in the tooth fairy.

Its a vehicle they will use to park their money, watch it multiply and then leave with a vast amount added to an already staggering fortune.

Its likely to be enjoyable for the fans though. In a relatively short period of time, results have improved markedly, and the squad has improved noticeably.

It will be a slow build, and I think that is the right way to do it.

People expecting masses of expensive signings will be rightly disappointed, it just isn't going to happen, and nor do I want it to.

Commercial income has been appalling in comparison to other PL clubs, and we haven't received any decent money from player sales since selling Ayoze Perez years ago. You can't just go splurging millions immediately, it is unsustainable. The current, measured approach is more appealing.

I would be happy just with a top half finish this season, but even that will be very difficult. Its a very tough league. All teams constantly improve. The bar keeps getting set higher.

Stop digging Millsy, just let it go. Where is your sidekick/ backup El Chapo btw?

I think you have totally misunderstood what and who is being sportswashed.

'Sportswashed' isn't an actual word but the most common definition is ''the practice of a controversial company or country using sports sponsorship to improve its reputation.' The attempt is to Sportwash Saudi Arabia's image using NUFC as the vehicle for doing so.
Sportswashed 👆

He's not my sidekick, just happened to take the words out of my mouth.

Do you feel like answering my question? It's only asking of you what you expected from others?

Look, as far as you are concerned, as a Newcastle supporter you don’t believe you are being sportswashed. That is all I wanted to know

I believe that you as an individual are being sportswashed, but that is just my opinion. Clearly you don’t

Just me, and not the other fans?

How on earth did you reach that conclusion?
I've just noticed his avatar....is that real? 😂😂😂

It's a real tat, yes. Not mine obviously, I've not got the minerals for that caper, but it's an absolute beauty. On the arm of a 70 odd year old bloke from the looks of him too, wild

Dear me!! He'd only just signed as well! I thought 20 games or so into his Saudi career was bad enough 😂😂😂😂

Ahh! Here comes the cavalry. And Mills and Boon likes it, surprise, surprise! So, El Chapo are you a yes or a no?
No, as mentioned in my previous comment, I am not using sports sponsorship/ownership to improve my reputation. It appears that Saudi Arabia is attempting to use NUFC to sportswash its image.

I'd argue that the Saudi's couldn't care less if fans of NUFC question their ownsherhip, sportswashing is about improving their image on the world stage rather than a small city in the Northeast of England

How can I ask every mag? I will most certainly ask all mags on here.

I'm not talking about asking everyone their opinion, I'm asking for your opinion. Yes or no, do you think every Newcastle fan in the stadium is "sportswashed" in the same way you think I am. Be pretty odd if you don't
