Hundred viewing figures down by half

Wonder what figures you'd get if a RLODC fixture was televised instead, or more realistically a t20 blast live or highlights package
Every ball from every county game t20. 50/50 championship is televised live on YouTube for free.

Pointless comment.

Viewing figures have halved because YouTube have stopped the free coverage of the 100. BBC have stopped this of course.

So everything is fine with the 100.

Ticket sales outselling t20 by 2 to 1.

You say that about the ticket sales. Independent evidence of those sales, not including freebies

That includes all the free tickets I assume? And there's 8 100 hundred franchises, they're outselling 18 counties are they?

How much is it boosting the economy in CLS where county Durham taxpayers funded the club at the behest of ftecb?

Causing civil war within cricket and bankrupting ftecb but aye, everything is fine.

The ‘numbers have halved’ thing seems completely spurious to me. And yes, probably no more spurious than the daft boasts on the ECB’s side that it’s all amazing.

Comparing the first ever game in the entire format (last year) with a random womens game midway through the mens’ season isn’t like for like. It’s no surprise that less watched it this time. Loads of us turned into that first game in 2021 out of curiosity, and pick and choose now.

When the actual figures for the big games like the final come out it’ll be more interesting. I reckon it’ll grow year on year, but we’ll see.

This is getting like the Politics board, people arguing about stats and crowds and putting different arguments and spins on figures.

Personally I am just over the moon that coming home from work that I can enjoy quality entertaining live cricket every night.

I can sit back and enjoy!!

Rather than those on here that seem to want to twist night after night that cricket is on live every night!!!

It’s a mystery to me where cricket fans just can’t enjoy cricket!!

I can sit back and enjoy, rather than looking for a way night after night to twist about the fact that cricket is getting more exposure on tv and that sky is providing quality coverage.
I only wish I could watch quality cricket on tv every night. Quality cricket is an equal contest between bat and ball.

Indeed more investigations done.
All 100 hundred games are live on YouTube via skysports channel for FREE.

BBC figures are down by half as you need to pay 165 quid a year for
mythical free to air tv..

So of course figures are halved. Why buy a tv licence or when it's free on YouTube??

They make more money from ads on YouTube than off tv advertising.

Still people pay for tv and subscription channels?

Rinse and repeat.
Entertaining cricket you would think cricket fans would want that.

This twisting night after night , I am finding more and more tiresome constantly putting a negative spin on the fact we have cricket to watch every night!!

It’s just so awful!

The best bit is that if these live games were just 20 balls more per side and played by different sides apparently it would be great.

It's cricket on telly featuring teams most people couldn't care less about at the expense of going to an actual cricket ground following a team you've followed for the last X amount of years.

This is the beginning of the end for the counties and especially on a board here mainly made up of county Durham followers it's not surprising most would pick allegiance to Durham over an amalgamated Leeds based team made up of random cricketers from all over

You're welcome to enjoy your armchair viewing of course, but don't feign surprise at those who feel robbed of a future following dccc

Maybe they should have showed Durham’s championship games this season where they have amazingly drawn 7 that’s SEVEN games out a possible 10.

Couldn’t think of nowt worse of sitting through some of them games, and I have followed cricket for 45 years.

God knows what none cricket fans trying to get involved in the game would think of watching them games, it would be enough to turn them of cricket forever.

I’m against the premise of the 100 but as it appears here to say, it can be improved

The franchises need to play games at all counties grounds at least once

That would actually spread the game as it’s supposed aim
