Hundred viewing figures down by half

FTA definitely matters. The BBL and Ashes are both FTA here in Aus, and whilst the BBL has waned a bit in recent years, it's still part of the national sporting conversation.
That’s all it would have took for the t20 over here

Instead they’ve wasted millions to alienate the original fan base by creating a competition that no one else plays worldwide but everyone has a t20 tournament

Result. Five weeks when the top players of English cricket sit in their backyards or hitting ten white balls over the boundary

And that’s the peak summer months given to that competition

No other country in the world has done this. Not a single one and they know what would happen if they did

The 1.3m bribe given to each county would have been enough. FTECB tell the counties take this, spend half on players, half on advertising and promotion and make all tickets for u16s free. Stick it on FTA TV even if just a weekly highlights package boom

Remember the big books in interest in American football, ice hockey and basketball after they were televised here? I'm sure that's just a coincidence

Exactly. This can be recovered but needs some big admittance from those at the top and as we see with the government, it’s always someone else’s fault

Current tv viewing figures.

50/50 cup 960 viewers on YouTube.

Women's 100 2.2k on YouTube.

Now understand the game is changing and county cricket is dying.

Women's hundred over twice as.many viewers than men's county cup competition.

Way the game is moving and changing.

Sorry to all.

That's really irrelevant though isn't it, because there's no way of differentiation between that as a symptom of actions took or as a reason to cause the changes.

Both numbers are so small you can’t read anything in to them imo.

Except to prove that ‘FTA doesn’t matter anymore, it’s all about online’ is utter bollocks.

There’d be 100x those figures on BBC2.

Every ball from every county game t20. 50/50 championship is televised live on YouTube for free.

Pointless comment.

Viewing figures have halved because YouTube have stopped the free coverage of the 100. BBC have stopped this of course.

So everything is fine with the 100.

Ticket sales outselling t20 by 2 to 1.
Not at the Riverside they're not.

Close to 1m people paid close to £100m to watch England cricket team. Without the county championship there'd be no England team.
I'm pleased you're sorry for posting such irrelevant claptrap.

It’s no surprise that CSA members say that, really is it.

TV viewing figures will be the main concern unless finals day did really well.
I have feeling there might be a little bump for the final as it was on 6 (six) channels, including 3 free to air. Just through people channel surfing they were bound to hit one of them at some point.

And I reckon they will fanfare it as much as they can.
