It's a weird situation as many normal people are willing to turn a blind eye for the sake of a better team.

I understand what you’re saying, but I can only say I ever took notice of SA, and still don’t. I know they’re a barbaric regime and I despise their views.
That’ll not stop me supporting Newcastle.
If that makes me “ complicit” in some folks eyes, I can live with that.

But, you go to matches, to support a club owned by a regime you despise that murders, rapes and kills.
Thats what I truly struggle with. Even if you oppose their awful atrocities, by supporting them you are part of their sportswashing.

I don't expect it to stop you supporting them.

Support the team and not the regime after all.

It's just a shame the majority of your fanbase isn't the same. The Saudis waved a golden dick in their faces and they latched straight on. Then doubled down on the defending to try make it as if they are really not that bad to comfort themselves.

Typical mag, happy to take their money and not say or do anything to upset them. Quite amazing when you consider the lengths fans went to, to vent their anger at Ashley, Pardew, Bruce, etc…

They've shown that they can do it. That's what shows you that the majority don't really care and didn't care about the sweatshop workers was just a stick to beat Ashley with. If they wanted they've got a nuclear bomb to attack them with.

Zero hour contracts though..

I don’t doubt you are the same bloke who has been going for 50 years and who just wants to support their team. And ordinarily I’d never criticise anyone for that.

But, I’m the girl who went for as long as you, me dads the bloke who went longer than both of us, and neither of us would have gone under your ownership (if it had been ours) and that’s the bit I struggle with.

Most of my mates aren’t “comfortable” with the regime. Not one of them defends them.
We’re Newcastle fans, have been for many a year, and, probably, nothing will change that.
I honestly couldn’t give a toss if folk don’t like us, we’re the same people with the same views as we’ve always had.
