Being fair..... The below is totally understandable given who he was managing.
Highest finish of 9th.
Average finish of 14th.
No trophies won.

Would Pep have offered better data, i doubt it to be honest and no i am not comparing him to Pep!!
The point is he's done very little in footballing terms yet many of your fans actually believe he's a word class manager.

This will be a big test of his managerial credentials as at Bournemouth he was under no pressure.

I guess we'll soon find out.

I agree this will be a challenge. No excuses this season whilst last season was a free hit really.
I think you are being a little harsh regarding Bournemouth. Taking them to Premier, and keeping them there, is a decent achievement.
We will indeed see soon enough. Personally i think those expecting Top 8 are in for a disappointing campaign. Those expecting a struggle are going to be equally disappointed i think.

They've got to make headlines as they have had a shit window. They always do this, roll out the Enternainers, polls on atmosphere compared to big clubs that only they vote on, players being interviewed mentioning the Project, & tipping Howe for England insinuating he's the best manager in the PL.& he's World Class. They are absolutely desperate.

You're not comparing him to Pep but Pep wouldn't have done any better. In other words your comment is pointless then.

I think that's a very honest and fair response. But the problem is that the rational voices either don't speak up or don't get heard.

I had a look at an NUFC forum the other week out of curiosity. I couldn't find a single thread calling out the owners and the Saudi regime.

I've not seen any articles by Newcastle fans, ex players or geordie celebrities calling them out. I'm not on twitter so maybe I'm missing them?

So where are these rational fans? No one is expecting people in the ground to go up to lads in tea towels and provoke an argument... but if there are moral fans out there, why aren't they speaking up online in significant numbers against those vocal minority who are defending the Saudis?
I was horrified when the take over happened, people I respected with really strong opinions about womens rights, LGBT rights, who would ordinarily be horrified about a regime killing a murderer and certainly the murder of children ffs. I’m not sure I’ll ever reconcile football fans dancing round with tea towels on their heads in support of a murdering regime.

Yet here they were, having pledged never to go back while Ashley was there, I mean, he employed people on zero hour contracts, now desperate to go back because they were owned by murderer.

I quickly learnt it was impossible to argue rationally with them and if I’m honest, it really upset me. If I posted on FB about it I edited privacy so Newcastle fans couldn’t see it, on Twitter I muted the NUFC hashtag and anything associated with it.

And, I can say regardless of the football club involved aside, because it wouldn’t have mattered which team, the whole thing has and continues to sicken me.

That said, I guess there are probably some, like @Biffo The Bear who feel it’s pointless trying in any meaningful way to try and argue against the majority, because he knows he’d be pissing in the wind.

To be fair that John Sinclair has always been a bit of a strange one (okay a pest). I blocked him the night we beat Everton to stay up, because he was DM ing me on Twitter saying “it’s what Sunderland deserve babe” nobody, ever gets away with calling me babe 😂😂
