The point is he's done very little in footballing terms yet many of your fans actually believe he's a word class manager.Being fair..... The below is totally understandable given who he was managing.
Highest finish of 9th.
Average finish of 14th.
No trophies won.
Would Pep have offered better data, i doubt it to be honest and no i am not comparing him to Pep!!
I agree this will be a challenge. No excuses this season whilst last season was a free hit really. The point is he's done very little in footballing terms yet many of your fans actually believe he's a word class manager.
This will be a big test of his managerial credentials as at Bournemouth he was under no pressure.
I guess we'll soon find out.
Batshit mental the lot of them.![]()

You're not comparing him to Pep but Pep wouldn't have done any better. In other words your comment is pointless then.Being fair..... The below is totally understandable given who he was managing.

I dont understand why he's got a new long term deal. Didn't he already have 2 years left? He also won't be poached for a bigger job, it's bizarre.
I was horrified when the take over happened, people I respected with really strong opinions about womens rights, LGBT rights, who would ordinarily be horrified about a regime killing a murderer and certainly the murder of children ffs. I’m not sure I’ll ever reconcile football fans dancing round with tea towels on their heads in support of a murdering regime.I think that's a very honest and fair response. But the problem is that the rational voices either don't speak up or don't get heard.
I had a look at an NUFC forum the other week out of curiosity. I couldn't find a single thread calling out the owners and the Saudi regime.
I've not seen any articles by Newcastle fans, ex players or geordie celebrities calling them out. I'm not on twitter so maybe I'm missing them?
So where are these rational fans? No one is expecting people in the ground to go up to lads in tea towels and provoke an argument... but if there are moral fans out there, why aren't they speaking up online in significant numbers against those vocal minority who are defending the Saudis?
To be fair that John Sinclair has always been a bit of a strange one (okay a pest). I blocked him the night we beat Everton to stay up, because he was DM ing me on Twitter saying “it’s what Sunderland deserve babe” nobody, ever gets away with calling me babeYou must be logged on to see media items
Let’s just say Southgate leaves the England job in December and the “best English manager in the world” is offered the job to manage England with some of the best players in the worldYou must be logged on to see media items
